The cost of introducing and paying off tech debt has changed very, very much and I don't even know most of us have the time and space to think about what it means Tech debt has been so central to the software craft for decades, and now... how much does it matter?

This fruit fly thing is the first time I'm experiencing future horror. I get that it's probably not sentient or conscious in a meaningful sense, but the conversion of a physical creature to something digital bodes ill to me.

Even before AI ate math, I wasn't a math professor. But now I particularly am not. I'm also not an actual comedian. What am I now? I'm nothing. I'm 41 years old and it's too late for me. (Or so I worry.)
