if you're not sure which way to go, just turn on your hazard lights. it means that you can turn either direction

i have never seen anyone in real life using a wide-style foldable phone, and only one guy I knew ever used a flip-style foldable, and that was because he got it for $300 on eBay and used it as a second phone

there's a real difference between old shit that just worked, and new shit that gets more complicated and broken even when you aren't using it the SNES still boots up and plays games without a care the PS3 whines that it's not on an HDCP-compatible display

it really fucking sucks that we lost shit like physical goods, real manuals, actual game content on a real tangible thing, in favor of (checks store) increased prices and no benefits. cool

the dream was always that digital distribution would lower game costs. after all, you no longer had to pay for logistics, manufacturing, physical goods, dealing with vendors. all of those expenses went away in favor of hosting a file server. ... unfortunately, it was just a dream.

now all modern "technical advancements" are just vessels for mega media conglomerates to extract as much money from the consumer as possible while simultaneously providing as little value as they can. Consumers have been lied to about on-demand streaming and digital downloads since their invention.

Generative AI is the continuation of this trend. Now the media conglomerates can outsource human thought to the Internet, to their own locked facilities that users will never even see, let alone control.

The only incentive in corporate capitalism is profit. The most efficient way to profit is to consolidate power and control as much as possible. Convenience bleeds control. They cannot exist together. That's too bad.

on-demand streaming and digital downloads are allowed to exist only because they allow publishers to alter and remove media as they deem fit. It is the outsourcing of entertainment from static copies to dynamic, constantly shifting internet theaters.

oh yeah because what we really needed to bring back in 2026 were the console wars. and this is a good thing because gamers care about the brand integrity of Microsoft corporation

He could still do this

The concept doesn't make sense to me, it's a 5 member band but only 2 of them are permanent members and the other three are just a touring band. This is like if Damon Albarn said he was murdoc and then made an album called "murdoc" and he went and dressed up as murdoc on tours.
