Discord making it so your public server messages can appear in Google searches is probably gonna be like when a Discord server adds a Quotes channel - people gonna just be saying whatever in hopes that it becomes part of the Google search, it's probably not gonna work as they hoped lol

100% someone is gonna figure out some way to trick Discord's programming into boosting a specific message so that it'll be THE message that appears in searches, so they can spread some more scams/hacks or whatever. It's getting abused whether it be for the funny or for horrid things.

Is this relatable: Because I come from the age where people had dedicated music pirating software, there are songs from my library that I STILL expect to end at a certain point because I was used to having an incomplete copy back in the day.

Also there was one time I had an mp3 of "Tearin' Up My Heart" by Nsync where, for some reason, there was a Windows sound that came up at a certain beat, and it's a very weirdroutejingle.mp3 moment when I don't hear it.

The consistent pattern of Glitch's shows having short one-season runs is interesting to me, because I know at the very least Gooseworx more or less said TADC and Murder Drones got to run literally as long as the creatives actually WANTED the shows to run for. So it seems like the creatives' intent.

Gooseworx herself literally said that they could've gone for multiple seasons with filler episodes but chose to just have a single season where every episode was important, and that's a pretty cool sentiment that I'm glad they are able to carry out through Glitch.

At least to me, that says that the people getting shows are probably thinking "I don't like when other shows go on for too long so I wanna make something with the restraint I want to see, and just make it a good tight season instead"

Tricky thing is that it feels a lil presumptuous I guess? Like I would be approaching folks under the assumption they even know/like these specific characters. This idea would make more sense perhaps as a "Submit your character" format but I've usually had bad luck getting any traction on those idk

The idea being that it's all pics with other peoples' OCs meeting their favorite streamer, which can be a simple wholesome group photo, maybe suggestive/partial nude, or even public sex at the convention - was inspired by a Bang Con art trend that was going around earlier this year.

It seemed like it plays well with the way I format this set of OCs, where each one is a streamer with a specific hobby they cater to. You can probably find an OC of your own who'd be into their content. And also probably likes sex, but the pic series isn't exclusively porn-based.

Random musing: Never really stayed interested in Reddit, mainly cause I just never really vibed with its setup - it always felt insufficient for how I would wanna format a thread, like on a classic forum. But maybe that's just an age thing lol

That, and/or "Yeah or moderator bot IMMEDIATELY deleted your thread because it found an issue with your post:" and it was sometimes about how long you've been a member of the subreddit, but other times specific rules for how you label posts, whether or not you are ALLOWED to seek help, etc

I definitely Tried to participate in fandoms through Reddit for a bit, like a decade ago, but that was before fandoms started having a lot more frequent toxicity - these days I don't really keep up with fandoms outside of discussing it with people in Discord servers and that's fine by me lol

I will say, a thing that always held me back was the way that so many subreddits had weirdly strict rules. There were so many times I'd try going to Reddit for advice on a topic/hobby only to find out "Yeah you need to click Join and be here for several weeks before you can post threads"

I gotta say, yeah it sucks Bsky staff is open to vibe-coding, bad move, but man it is so weird there are people responding like "I don't support this, I'm going back to only using Twitter" Like-- Ain't no way they don't know what's waiting for em on Twitter if they are anti-AI lol

Like this might be an extreme assumption but, I do suspect anyone who is making that kind of move is actually just addicted to Twitter in a sentimental/nostalgic way (or some worst way) and this is just a thinly veiled attempt to justify being stuck in the past.

This isn't to say Bsky is good, just... Better than Twitter, by a lot. I'm not loyal to this site, it is just the least worst option at the moment. Either someone new gets put in charge who's anti-AI or a better site becomes the new cool place for artists, that's what I wait for.

Weather went from "It's 80-90 degrees F outside in October" to "Put on sweatpants and long sleeves ya dingus it's cold out" with no transition but I'll take it, maybe once I finish my October art theme I can get to some chilly art pieces......

Happy Wheels is available on Steam now and it is so wild opening up the featured levels because it feels like it's ALL just stuff from a decade+ ago - I wonder if it's had any big new popular levels yet since they just put it up there in September.

Something I've been recording here and there is gameplay for the unreleased Bionicle game Legend of Mata Nui, and frankly I'm torn on whether it'll be a playthrough w/ commentary or an editorial about how janky of an experience this is lmao

Today's very short game session (which has audio issues for some reason) includes the worst Mario 64 slide with an unannounced change in controls, a camera that gets bugged out if you touch the walls, and damage you can die from if you ram into walls too fast. Also this death that ended the session:

I don't know that I've ever commented on it here but it's lowkey fun drawing in a game (like Gartic Phone or Jackbox), where you aren't doing layers of anatomy and inking/coloring, just letting whatever happens happen in one quick burst
