He, him. A transplanted Canadian, Bruce used to write about Magic and podcast about Magic. Nowadays, he looks forward to dropping dice from the sky in his next game of EDH

Festival in a Box: Atlanta 2026 (the one with the Mystery Booster Commander box) sold out in 22 minutes. 1. Thrilled to save $250. 2. Every product Wizards has produced this year, every set, every Secret Lair, was "not for me," except this product. This was exactly for me.

Imagine how much more money Wizards could make if they were any better at determining demand than they were when Alpha and Beta came out 30 years ago? If they printed triple, they would have sold out in just over an hour. If they printed 10x, they would have had enough to sell out by end of day.

I can’t draw a ninja, so a Ninja token was going to have to show how fast ninjas are. #InfiniTokentober. I think it follows the rules @infinitokens.com laid out. It is supposed to be a walkway at night with a broken fence a ninja just blasted through.

Checked out Asticou Azalea Garden and Thuya Garden in the morning. Drove up Cadillac Mountain in the afternoon. Enjoyed a sunset and an EDH game to wrap up the night! #MTGinAcadia

Morning 20 mile ride through Acadia. Lobster Melt for lunch. Ol’ Buzzbark couldn’t pull off the afternoon EDH game. Ended the night with homemade chilli dogs (nowhere near a Tastee Freez) and mellowing by the fire. Sorry, no pics of lobster melt, Buzzbark getting slaughtered, or the chilli dogs!

The Most Dangerous Gamer lost to commander damage from Azula. I did manage to get 36 squirrels with Earl of Squirrel so not all was lost. Fun game! #MTGinAcadia

I thought I’d take you along on my work day. Not a lot of Magic content in this series of posts, but it should be different from my usual posts! Program 1 for the day is online only. My intro starts shortly!

After helping the chair put the program together, my job for today is just a quick intro. Next up is prep for the Legal Services Conference that starts at noon today; check the rooms to make everything is set!

My last 3 60-card casual decks are coming apart today. For me, this is the worst part of Commander’s popularity. I prefer those games, but not even my play group will play it any more. 2 Brawl and 2 Clover decks are all that is left.

Thursday Night Magic was fun! Ragost did nothing. Confirmed its status on the chopping block. Grenzo was outstanding, playing perfectly. Every card did exactly what was needed. A great reminder why it is one of my all-time favourite decks! And we had ice cream cake for my son Spencer’s birthday!

Any suggestions for how to get someone's attention at work when they have headphones in and can't hear you say their name loudly? I can't get in front of them in their cubicle and I refuse to be the creepy guy who touches someone to get her attention.

These are solid cards that can make the lineup in your deck. And there is a good chance you don't know about them!

Good enough is actually a prime spot for cards to be in a game with 4 people. And these gold enchantments range from "good enough subs for expensive cards" to "actually good in certain archetypes" youtu.be/M7tK-deSk2g

Considering a deck with every card I previewed. Najeela could be the commander and it would include Leovold and a lot of cards that don’t work together. Not sure if I’ll enjoy it enough to justify putting it together…

0-2 in Magic tonight. Emiel and Avenger of Zendikar put over 100 plants in play but a 25/26 Gollum Scheming Guide goes unblocked to take me out. Gale blew hot air and didn’t do a damn thing. That deck needs the drawing board. Thankfully the friends were good. Always a good gathering!

I love seeing soccer games end in penalty kicks. In fact let’s end tie ball games with a home run derby! Golf could end with a longest drive competition! Football games should end with a field goal contest! Game’s gotta end amiright?
