It's hard to conceive of just how inhumanely countries like the United States, Australia, and Canada treated First Nations/Aboriginal/Native populations pca.st/podcast/616e...

I don't know anything about Brazilian politics but I'm happy the right-wing candidate that was going to weaponize his country's government to settle scores lost. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

I'm just gonna say it again for the people in the back. Re-sign Hal Hershfelt!

OMG, the vibes around this Sixers team are already amazing. What a comeback! Maxey is elite and LeBron as ultimate glue guy is going to be fun to watch

Sell your $TSLA stock, your vehicle. I understand he's trying to rig the game but do not willingly give Musk your money

I'm shocked Maryland waited until Wednesday afternoon to announce they were moving in from Locksley. Idk how good the Maryland job is as you have to recruit really well in the MD/PA/VA areas. Maryland has gotten some talented players, but the sum hasn't been good enough

The fact that Witkoff continues to refer to it as the "Ukranian-Russian conflict" and not the Russian War against Ukraine is just one of many ways US political leadership have normalized Putin's War Crimes www.axios.com/2026/10/21/r...

it's gotten incredibly easy to kill lots of people for cheap by using drones

NJ might be changing the terrible ebike law and actually recognize that Class 1 and Class 2 bikes are not the menace to public safety that require licensing and registration. Kudos to State Senator Raj Mukherji www.njleg.state.nj.us/bill-search/...

Winning the first game of the season.. doesn't feel like the Sixers do that very often. Way to take it to the defending champs. Maxey is The Franchise but it's nice to know that they have 6 guys who can get 20+ on any given night

I think Josh Hart has the closest thing to Tim Duncan's "I can't believe you called that a foul" Face

Two extremely over capitalized companies with uncertain future profitability are contemplating merging. interesting www.axios.com/2026/10/20/s...

This fella needs another job that does not involve the Commanders. www.commanders.com/team/coaches...

What are we even doing here? unless the vehicle was operated remotely, a driver that kills kids on a soccer shouldn't be released without charges.

I am not in favor of suspending gas taxes as a policy. it doesn't save consumers much money but it can really impact transit funding when aggregated. You can see how much your state tax is at this website simpletaxcalculator.app/virginia/gas...

It won't be sexy, but should the Phillies look to sign Logan O'Hoppe if he's non-tendered? Not real competition for Realmuto but a minor upgrade at the backup catcher position www.fangraphs.com/players/loga...

OUR LONG NATIONAL NIGHTMARE IS OVER. The Philadelphia Flyers have defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-1. Flyers goals from Porter Martone, Matvei Michkov, Trevor Zegras. Dan Vladar with 25 saves on 26 shots. Up Next: The Colorado Avalanche! #Flyers

The scariest thing about Dombrowski's press conference is I absolutely believe the Phillies would have given a healthy Adolis Garcia enough ABs to try to put up a -.5, 20 HR season

Flyers Power Play has been terrible for years under different coaches and different players. I don't know what else they can change but they won't be a competitive team if they can't score with the man advantage

I've been around Marylanders for far too long. Had to let them know NJ sweet corn is definitely a thing. #GardenState

My son's teachers, bless their hearts, looked at us during parent teacher conference and asked for suggestions on what they should do because he's advancede. Khan Academy is a partial solution but I don't know what to do when they say to put him in a better school. because tuition is no joke

Dan Vladar made some outstanding saves in the 3rd Period and in the shootout. Alas, the Flyers remain winless. 10% through the season

Parent-teacher conferences were today and they told us to put our son in a better school. So I guess I need to find a MLM and start selling product.

The Philly Union and Wrexham donated and helped create this mini-pitch at a school near my brother's house in Philly. I would love to see more of these all over the country. turf so it's softer and two size goals. This is how you make soccer for all

I feel like I'm having difficulty this season with coaching the U11 boys. The team is different than last year, as several players are with other programs. We're still recreation focused but I can't tell if several of the kids actually like soccer and if can change in ways to make it better.

Leonardo DaVinci was a noted Italian with many notable achievements in the late 15th Century who also did not set foot on the Continental United States. Just in case a historical figure was needed for people to be proud of

Traces of these Native American sites have been uncovered all across DC — from the hills of Van Ness and Chevy Chase to the riverbanks of the Potomac and the Anacostia. On Indigenous Peoples Day, we honor the Piscataway, the Nacotchtank (Anacostans), and all who first made the District their home.

Okay, I'm now in agreement with the people who have been saying this for a while; Dan Quinn is not the right coach for this team. This is a poorly coached team, plain and simple.

Quinn and the Commanders completely forgot the OT rules. The only explanation for that ending was the Commanders were trying to run down the clock and a FG would have ended the game

Everton are playing four CBs. I hate my life

Everyone uses the public library! Even the National Guard and FBI people at 1000 on a Saturday. Someone has to guard the drop off vote ballot boxes and anime collections

We're really going through some dystopian times. I really hope people have enough goodness to not look at the live stream

I hate the Yankees and I am glad they are out of the playoffs. However, it's absolutely messed up that the MLB playoff format had the teams with the best two records in the AL playing in the ALDS.

Welcome to the off-season Braves

I guess I'm on the road to being a hockey dad

Baseball teams pretending they're not profitable and not caring about the staff and how they enhance the shared experience

Who says no first to a potential Trea Turner for Manny Machado trade?

Converting closed college campuses into housing should be an easy yes. If your zoning code or public engagement process makes that unduly difficult, those need to change. www.governing.com/urban/closed...

some men want to watch the world burn, I just want to see the Braves lose

I have absolutely no issues with baseball stadiums not having identical dimensions. I have issues with there being multiple stadiums where a ball can strike an object over the field of play that changes the trajectory and then that still being an out. Makes no sense to me.

My parents sent me a card. it took 12 days for it to get from South Jersey to DC. That's terribly slow

I don't understand why TV execs at places like #HBO don't at least order the script for the second season before the first season airs. So are we talking about 2028 for a #Lanterns Season 2? screenrant.com/lanterns-sea...

Luvanga is strong, has pace and can finish. 😍😍⚽⚽

The Spirit have scored 3 beautiful goals tonight in Houston. They also played some poor defense to allow 2. Gonzalez and the team have to things to work on over the break. But Rodman is in good form and there is so much attacking talent

The Braves really used Chris Sale in a non-save situation to victory cigar the Phillies and now they don't have a good option for Game 2. Ha

Visual reminder that. Millennials and their parents have witnessed the best eras of Phillies baseball.

Otto Kemp being called in to pinch hit with 2 outs in the 9th of an elimination game speaks volumes about what this Phillies organization has done poorly over the last 5 years. They will have a chance to make the playoffs next year but big changes are needed organizationally.

Not many things I hate more than hearing Braves fans so that BS war cry.
