I was thinking about how just two months ago, some SF Giants wore hats to express their hatred toward lgbt folks. A slap in the face. And I haven’t heard much about it since. As a San Francisco native, who grew up in a family of season ticket holders, I won’t go to a game now, and that’s a shame.

There are lots of articles on why we should do away with the electoral college, the filibuster, the 9-person limit on the Supreme Court, and so on - but I haven’t seen anything calling for the end of executive orders, which Trump has weaponized to cause so much shit. Am I missing something?

If I understand correctly, Jason Arday is dead because the media gleefully feasted on the idea that the youngest black man to become a Cambridge professor was a liar. His accuser, Nathan Cofnas, is an avowed white supremacist. And the media didn’t check the claims. Arday’s blood is on their hands.

Don’t understand why the media constantly refers to “ceasefires” (in Gaza or Lebanon or Iran or wherever) one the “firing” resumes (usually within a day or two). They say the “ceasefire” is weak, or under threat, or at risk when it clearly is a joke.

I don’t think the Trump administration is going to cancel midterms, because that would get a lot of complacent people to be less complacent. I think they are going to do everything they can to disenfranchise people, and then lie about the results.

As a native of San Francisco, just wanna point out the murder rate for 2025 is (so far) lower than any year since the 1950s. The City isn’t perfect, but doesn’t need “help” from any kind of guard or military or random assholes who won’t show their faces.
