Job done. These Isle of May Puffins have completed the job of raising a chick and now they look to leave. It won’t be long before they leave the island and won’t return until next March!

Kingfishers are small but beautiful and mighty birds. I watched this one dive many times to catch fish which I couldn't see with my lesser eyesight. I'm pretty sure this wee guy will be the cover star of my 2026 calendar and the year has barely started. #ukbirds #birdphotography
