If Saudi buys £35b of military hardware from the UK each year, why do they need our help (we’re sending several Typhoons to them). They have 22 refuelling aircraft. Surely they already have an air force?

How is it that, as Donny the Donkey says, that Zelensky is driving up diesel prices if there are effective sanctions on Russian oil? It should make no difference…

I’m a bit sick of the conflation of the terms antisemitism and anti-Israeli or anti-Israeli government’s behaviour. Even if thugs will commit acts of anti-semitism based on anti-Israeli feelings. But opposition to Israeli actions in Gaza is not anti-Jewish. It is anti crazy war-ism

Russia says it’s not acceptable that other countries defend Ukraine. Why is Russia able to dictate what they want? Is it just military dominance? If we had more military might, would we stand up to them more?

When Trump sends the military into US cities like Chicago and LA, isn’t he setting the mood for what he might do if he loses the next election? Or is it just a political move to point the finger at “crime”, meat and potatoes for his right wing supporters?

No. That’s what he wants NATO to think. It’s absolute BS. Russian economy is about to explode and NATO ramping up spending will accelerate that and counter future mischief

Could Putin have created this war in Ukraine with the intention of forcing European countries to raise their defence spending, hoping to crash their economies? At very best consume valuable effort and resources.

China plays the long game, builds its armies, allying with Russia and North Korea, thus pitting it against the US, In private China is surely thankful for Russia's aggression, as it justifies its own arms industry.

All that remains to be seen is who will emerge as the fifth most powerful leader behind Trump, Putin, Xi and Von der Leyen, in Asia. Turkey's Erdogan is a pretender to the throne. India's Modi reckons himself as a player.

And Russia befriends Iran to use its drones in Ukraine. While Iran agitates to rule the Middle East. This could benefit Russia by putting strain on the US-Israeli relationship, forcing the US to choose sides, support Israel, exposing it to potentially more Islamic terrorism.

In February alone, the national suicide hotline's program for LGBTQ youth—who are four times more likely to attempt suicide than their peers—received an average of 2,100 contacts per day. Now the Trump administration is shuttering this critical resource.

This is a media opp for Trump: arresting a judge. Grinding away at the levels of acceptance.

In a criminal complaint, the Justice Department said the judge refused to turn over the man after immigration agents showed up to arrest him in her courtroom on April 18, and that she tried to help him evade arrest. For more details: reut.rs/444vpsS

Despite Russia’s announced Easter ceasefire, Zelensky reports 59 Russian shellings and 5 attacks along the front. “On Easter morning, they pretend to pause the war — but keep trying to inflict harm,” he said. The truce? Just for show.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

Israel attacks last functioning hospital in Gaza. One is just as bad as the other. Israel seems to be aiming for the total destruction of Gaza. Netanyahu supports Trump's “Riviera” plan for Palestinians to leave Gaza while it’s rebuilt. Cynical.
