I'm sure he was a nice enough bloke, but this endless coverage of the Pope's passing is ridiculous. For one, there is no such thing as God. For another the Catholic church has caused IMMEASURABLE damage to countless youngsters over the years. I'd have stayed a LOT quieter if I were a member.

Delighted to see Bluesky up its max character limit. But it's still NOWHERE NEAR enough. We need Bluesky to take Facebook on with a much higher limit in place. Our democracies depend on Facebook dying a long-overdue death. I want to leave Facebook without losing my voice online.

I am SO proud of Americans taking to the streets to defend their democracy. This needs to become a series of national strikes until the Trump economy is stopped. We'll do our bit abroad too, inc. calling for a boycott of all tourism to the USA. Difficult, but WAY better than a second US civil war.

BlueSky could do with some of the features Facebook offers. The character limit seems an unnecessary (and self-defeating) drawback? I am dying to get away from FB, and am encouraging others to do so, but many will be reluctant to leave if all that's available to them are one-paragraph posts.

The 25th Amendment allows for the removal of an unfit or insane President (with a 2/3rd majority of Congress). Or, if a good number of his generals refuse to take orders from him (en masse) his position as CIC will be effectively untenable. Whatever it takes, Trump HAS to go.
