This is a demo of our song Sitcom. Written by my late friend Ian. He wrote some great tunes. This one’s my favourite. Please enjoy if you have a couple of minutes. From 2003.

My mate bought two kittens and the boy cat made friends with his older dog and they like to hang out and snuggle up to each other. It’s very charming.

I’d really appreciate any reposts of the tune below. Ian went far too soon. He was a brilliant songwriter and I think his work deserves a wider audience. RIP IJ 💔 Thank you x

Please do check this out if you have the time. It’s pretty good, despite me being in the band. Nice little pop/rock unit. Ian Lander wrote some lovely songs. Several of them here. He will be greatly missed. Frontman Scott Lavene has a pretty successful solo career these days. Check him out too.

Recently lost my friend Ian, (on keyboards here), a lovely man and a talented songwriter. Here we all are playing a gig in 2003. RIP IJ 🖤https://youtube.com/watch?v=4ZJbZECqG7I

Yesterday’s Antifascist counter protest against a “Nationalist” March which featured actual Nazis and men cosplaying in military gear and stab vests. “Nazi scum” indeed. Herne Bay, Kent.

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.

'Excalibur' (acrylic on paper, 2026) by Barnaby Edwards £495 Today's painting (from my current exhibition on fantasy cinema) is inspired by my favourite retelling of the legends of King Arthur. Please share with interested parties! More info here: barnabyedwards.co.uk/myth-and-mag...

I realise it may just be the view from my bubble, but I’ve seen nothing but positivity from fans about the new Dr Who kids animation. I’ve seen tons of commentators chortling and saying that the fans will be weird and negative about it though.

Terror of the Zygons premise (that anyone could be a shapeshifting alien, even your mum!) terrified me so much that after watching it I was too scared to go to the toilet that night, and had to piss in a small plastic boat that I hid under my bed.

In 1983, me and a friend spent our school summer holidays hanging out at our local video rental shop. We’d befriended the lone employee, a young chap who, in return for us putting customer’s videos back on the shelves and other minor chores, let us watch whichever film took our fancy on the shop tv

One day we took another friend with us, eager to share our forbidden treasures. That day we chose the much-discussed The Exorcist as our viewing treat. As the film progressed, the scenes of a possessed Linda Blair so distressed our friend that he ran out of the shop and vomited on the pavement.

His parents found out and naturally caused a fuss. The employee kept his job but us twelve year olds were banned from the shop from then on. Different times eh?

We watched anything regardless of rating, including stuff like Porky’s and some weird cannibal film where a woman kissed a man and bit his tongue off. This was during the media panic around Video Nasties and my friend and I watched as many as we could. The arrangement suited everyone fine until…

My favourite 3 panels of Judge Dredd from the Judge Death Lives story - Wagner and Bolland at their best. The panels, the text and the speach lines "GAZE INTO THE FACE OF FEAR!" and "GAZE INTO THE FIST OF DREDD!" have stayed with me since I first saw them in 1981 #DayofDredd

It's The #DayofDredd – post your ultimate Judge Dredd artist! Let's start with the OG, the master – Carlos Ezquerra!

I remember someone on that site writing a long piece in the comments about how Adric had been introduced by misogynistic writers to shackle Romana, and punish her for being so liberated by saddling her with a child. Entertainingly unhinged.

Someone just said on the radio re Burnham’s speech “I’m surprised to hear him follow through” which has childishly amused me for the afternoon.

Overachieving as usual, I balance 13 Indiana Jones novels on my knee and talk to them all with the lovely @toohot4tv.bsky.social on his latest episode. Loved doing this :)

On the latest episode of Too Hot For TV I am joined by Rob from @thedwshow.net to discuss the expanded universe of Indiana Jones. Rob takes me on a whirlwind trip through all of the original Indiana Jones novels. linktr.ee/Dylan_Rees.
