Not everyone's cup of tea but one of my faves. A band whose sound was evolving it worked when Radiohead did the same with kid a and it worked for R.E.M here!

🆙 It’s the anniversary of the release of Up, the band’s 11th studio album (Oct. 26, 1998). Produced by Pat McCarthy and the band, Up included singles “Daysleeper,” “Lotus,” “At My Most Beautiful,” and “Suspicion.” Share your favorite track below.

Found my R.E.M ring binder. Throughout my teens in the 90s I would cut out any article in any publication about @remhq.bsky.social and stick them in protective wallets in the binder! By the 00s I was a little cooler and just kept the whole magazines/newspapers!

Just finished reading this provocative, honest account of a life filled with challenges but ultimately finding hope in simplifying and slowing down. #BookSky

#my9albums #MusicSky That was surprisingly hard and have had to leave out albums by Neil Young, Nick Drake, the Smiths and more but these have been the albums that have consistently soundtracked my life and shaped my musical taste!

Probably their best album!
