Leap of faith here - if Callan McKenna were to play for Scotland on Monday, with Benji Buchel likely to be in goal for Liechtenstein, surely it'd be the first time that current and former #afcb goalkeepers faced each other in a full international where neither had made it off the first-team bench?

Have tried to gather some thoughts on a remarkable season for #afcb - and like all the best sci-fi epics, it's been divided into three parts. The stats. The emotions. And the goals. I really tried not to get carried away. It can all be found on BBC Sport's AFCB page. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

Terrific bowling by Emily Arlott. Was extremely impressed by her in a RHF Trophy game I watched at Wormsley a couple of years ago, surprised England have taken this long to cap her but thrilled she's started so well. Also keep thinking it sounds like West Indies have a player called Downton Abbey?!

Somewhat bizarrely, all four teams relegated from League One have had their relegation confirmed because of a result for Burton Albion. Who are now 20th with one game to go. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

Burton Albion were in dire straits when Gary Bowyer took over and tonight the Brewers have reached safety by drawing against Wigan. He was the first of our managers who fell foul of the pitchforks after we were relegated.

More #afcb 1957 quarter-final nostalgia can be found on this week's "Cherries: Unpicked", with special guest Neil Vacher: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Sunday will be the first chance for 68 years for Bournemouth supporters to watch #afcb in an FA Cup quarter-final (as the 2021 QF was during the fan-less "Covid season"). Time for a brief look down memory lane? Set the Dean Court DeLorean for 1957... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

A collector's item just before Mooney was dismissed - Filer was no-balled by the square leg umpire for having three fielders behind square on the leg side. Wyatt-Hodge at deep square leg had to shift. Not sure I've ever seen that before in 40+ years watching pro cricket! #Ashes #WomensAshes

MCG could use the services of a hawk here. Seagulls are marauding (despite having lost one of their number recently, vanquished by a James Vince straight drive - does he count as a Hawk?!), and will have complete control by the close of play if unchecked. #WomensAshes

Beware the "England fan zone" tickets advertised at $27 on the Cricket Australia website. Actually cost $35 at the MCG ticket window. That's not including the spurious $8 "transaction fee", so a grand total of $43. Not a great look for CA. Any other England fans have similar experiences?

It immediately reminded me of similar comments Graham Taylor made about Sweden's outdoor lifestyle after England lost to them at Euro 92...

Alison Mitchell@alison-mitchell.bsky.social

Such a curious quote this about Australia having a cultural advantage due to outdoor lifestyle. Those who want to be elite push themselves to do it in whatever climate they grow up in. If we subscribe to this, what hope for British sport! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricke... #AusvEng

A statistical oddity from this game: this was the middle of January 1991, yet Matty Holmes' opening goal was the first league goal #afcb had scored away from home on a Saturday in the entire 1990-91 season! (All previous away goals had been in cup games or midweek, plus one on a Friday night)

Only one away win so far in the 1990-91 season, and then The Cherries go to Gigg Lane and take Bury apart. Goals from Matty Holmes, Luther Blissett, George Lawrence and Efan Ekoku ensured a happy trip home for the Cherries faithful. youtu.be/yKfjWspwyBw #afcbournemouth #afcb #football #soccer

Janette Brittin’s 137-ball ton was an England record. It happened this day in Perth in 1984 and lasted exactly 40 years. Maia Bouchier’s record of 124 balls for hers lasted exactly 29 mins. Nat Sciver-Brunt 100* off 96 has the fastest century in women’s Tests. #bbccricket
