Under the hood of Vaadin 25.3: Flow's client engine moved from GWT-compiled Java to native TypeScript. 107 modules, ~19k lines, 700+ browser tests and real source maps. Your Java APIs don't change. vaadin.com/blog/vaadin-...

The browserless testing in is really a game changer. I wrote an article about this: martinelli.ch/why-vaadin-b...

Browserless tests in Vaadin 25.3 now follow the same rules as real users: if a user can't do it in the browser, the test can't either. Still JVM-fast, no browser needed, plus seven new component testers. vaadin.com/blog/vaadin-...

Hooks run only inside a Claude Code session, so I keep them for rules about the session, like "the agent ran the sensors before saying done". Anything you can check by reading the repository becomes a test. Tests bind everybody, hooks buy latency.

martinelli.chHooks That Stop the Agent From Claiming “Done”An AI agent that says “done” is making a claim. Claude Code hooks let the session ask for proof: a Stop hook that wants a fresh, green test report, and a status guard that wants a coverage audit before a use case is marked as done.

Did your coding agent's change actually reach the running app? The Dev Loop CLI in Vaadin 25.3 (preview) tells it: whether the app is running, hot-swap or restart, and whether each change is live. Tutorial: vaadin.com/docs/latest/...

My advice has been don't use AI to scaffold a new Spring Boot project because you get outdated version. Today I did that in a demo, and guess what, Opus 5.5 uses the Spring Initializer 🤯 That model is awesome! Luckily switching to Sonnet 4.6 helped and it created a Spring Boot 3.3.4 project 😅

I find it funny that a lot of mostly developers are trying to mimic their Scrum process with AI. AI is a game changer. You have to rethink how you work. Introducing AI in a company is organizational change not another tool.
