Happy release day Mr. Hall. Work needs to end so I can go to my local bookstore and pick up a copy of some sticky fresh, hot off the bloody press, horror.

New Coy Hall book this Friday! A writer whose historical roots run deep and it flavorfully translates to his works. Excited to see what horror lies in the Godling Wood.

Reading has become an endangered species. Which is half the problem with American political life. Maybe more than half. If you can't read, you can't think. Then you can fall for anything. The idea, for instance, that the truth is fake news.

CATS! IN! SPAAAAAAAACE!!!!

The Scythian Wolf is back with its third open call & third historical horror anthology. This time it's Ancient Rome. Here are the initial details. More info soon.

Welp, looks like I'm back to reading books again. Hell yeah.

It's meme-time. Get memed.

My dear and relentless Summer heat, please and kindly go elsewhere. We are tired of your high pressure heat dome nonsense. #arethesestillathing #fall #mubblefubbles

Finally got to see the nips in person. Thanks MoPop!

Got my paperback and I'm ready to do some holiday reading! Excited to be able to dive into these stories in This World of Vile Wonder. @coyhall.bsky.social

This is what I'll be listening to on repeat today. Happy Halloween everyone. 🎃

Don't miss out on this new anthology! Horror tales of the Scientific Revolution! Stoked on getting this in paperback. 📚

Excited for this anthology! Don't delay you fools, get this and READ it!!!

My local bookshop just got a huge collection of Longarm novels! I picked up a few for research into smutty westerns. @pointofimpactbooks.bsky.social

Had two peers come up to me after class and ask what I am currently writing, and if they can read it when it is done. Felt really good, ngl. It's a novella and it's only half done.

Oh hell yeah. A new Peter McLean book!!

My new novel, The Owl Men of Shanidar, releases April 28! Ebook is up for preorder (paperback will be available to order April 26): mybook.to/OwlMen I'll be posting blurbs soon!

In the same vein, if they cannot be bothered to write it why should I bother to read it? AI has no place in art.

Some days I listen to White Cedar by @themountaingoats.bsky.social, and I cannot get over how it makes me feel inspired and alive. Can I ask what the song means? "I'll be reborn someday someday, if I wait long enough..." SNARE! SNARE!

And it feels like it's happening in slow motion.

Do you think they would have the gall to change their name to the Red Hot Clam Cakes?

Fucking right it does. We need to focus on each other and care for the people next door to us. There is good in this world.

I'm just a regular dude who loves alt rock. Is it too much to ask for @eve6 to cover "Up The Wolves" by @themountaingoats.bsky.social

Weird Horror. Occult Lore. Love Gone Wrong. Alchemical Divorce. A Man Eats Himself... Colossus with a Poison Tongue is on sale for 99 c/p at Amazon US & UK. Mybook.to/PoisonTongue

And I don't want the world to see me...

This is so stupid, but it makes me laugh.

Remember you are not powerless. We all have our part to play in the resistance. Call your representatives and ask them if they like alternative rock

I'm hoping to set a new record for 2025 for myself in terms of reading. Shooting for 36 books. Horror, fantasy, and nonfiction. Finish my novella. Write my short story and submit it. Work and write my big idea. I hope 2025 is good to you all. #reading #writing

Fuck Twitter. Blue sky is where it's at.

Michael Shea is an incredible author of weird fiction. Not enough people are talking about his work. Just finished his short story Salome. #weird #fiction #shortstory

I had an idea for a @themountaingoats.bsky.social album. They pick their favorite fictional character and can't use the obvious descriptors. Ex: batman. No bats. Dark knight etc. Ex: hannibal lector. No Chianti, no fava beans. Etc Ex: john kimble. No One armed man. No Innocent. No Doctor. Etc.

My goal is to read more and write more in 2024. 24 books in a year. And a first draft of my Horror novel. So far we got 3 books and 4000 words.

Shading is hard but drawing is fun to quiet the idiotic parts of my brain. #art #drawing #pencil #latebloomerartist

This is my map for learning to draw. Shit is hard yo. But it's rewarding. #latebloomerartist #ink #art #drawing

This was more fun to draw than I realized. Some classic Batman TAS. #drawing #art #latebloomerartist #batman #inking #inktober

Working on drawing eyes. Bonus points if anyone can figure out whose left eye that is... #drawing #art #latebloomerartist

"I fell into a pit of lies I tried to dig around the other side And much to my surprise I was to blame for all the rain" -Word to the Wise

Now that the bugs have left my last two kale plants are thriving. Time for some cooler weather so I can make soup.

I wish I could live up here.

Had a double feature last night of Lone Wolf and Cub and Death Race 2000. It was incredible. It reminded me how much heart and soul has dwindled from a good amount of modern filmmakers.
