Rural Northern California, interested in all things politics. I am a junkie for local campaigns—DA, judge, sheriff, county supervisor, you name it. Living in a county where more people are registered Democrat but the Republicans are the ones who vote.

Nothing is a more convincing admission that you know your entire administration is corrupt than giving criminal pardons to EVERYONE.

Here's to hoping that Melania wins next year's Nobel Peace Prize for her imaginary diplomacy. It would drive a jealous Donald even further around the bend.

Just saw the Musk movie. I have been saying privately for a year now that Starlink should be nationalized and I am glad someone else is saying it now, too.

Europe needs to do this America should have done this under Democrats why the hell did we award him with Government Contracts @schumer.senate.gov Prosecute Musk and Nationalize Starlink NO ONE'S lives should be in this Nazi NUT's hands

I didn’t even have to scroll up to see who you were referring to. JD is incredibly inauthentic. How he got this far is beyond me.

He is the most inauthentic politician I've ever seen, and that's saying something--I was in college during Watergate.

John Roberts: lifetime job. No term limit. No election. The man who decided a president can’t be prosecuted for official acts. Here’s the one thing he doesn’t control: Congress can impeach him. Most people have no idea. Spread it.

If true, this is completely on brand. And I am not surprised.

Hackers posted personal details, including home addresses, on 3,615 people they say came from Trump Mobile’s files. They say they warned the company. The reply was six words long. www.dworkinsubstack.com/p/a-heros-we...

Is anyone else tired of seeing headlines saying, “Trump panicking. . .”? I have yet to see any behavior of T that show he is in a state a panic. A state of drowsiness, yes. A state of irritability with reporters who ask inconvenient questions, yes. A state of moronic-ness, yes.

“Acosta: This is a Category 5 fuck-up of epic proportions.” Do tell WHICH of the fuck ups of epic proportions he means without making me watch the video. It comes through the feed every time I cannot play it.

I served in multiple authoritarian states, both communist and otherwise--Russia, Vietnam, Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, and Ukraine before the Orange Revolution brought in democracy. One common thread among all of them is government spending on propaganda to glorify the dictator/sultan.

With the WH press corp having so much extra time, they could be making hay with this.

Rep. Mike Levin@levin.house.gov

We as a nation should not move on from the fact that a Putin-linked oligarch spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on Don Jr.’s wedding. This would be a front-page story for months in any other presidency.

I listened to a R candidate for congress yesterday who pointed out that Calif drivers pay $1.30/gallon in gas taxes and then later said our gas was $6/gallon not because of the war, but because of our gas taxes. The math wasn’t mathing.

Bryan Toporek@btoporek.bsky.social

The only thing out of Dems’ mouths for the next six weeks should be: Donald Trump single-handedly drove up gas prices by starting a senseless war, and it will only get worse if you re-elect Republicans

This is Eugenics. Couple amping up the libido of their chosen specimens with their bid to lower the standards on human research subjects’ informed consent and mass deportation, and what other conclusion can be reached?

This is one of my eternal questions

@theweekendmsnow.bsky.social Why doesn’t the White House Press Pool just leave the White House is solidarity with MSNOW, CNN and Politico? Deny the President the attention he craves?

💭 Can you think of an ominous sign that the U.S. is backsliding on democracy? Here's one: An international election watchdog group that has observed every federal election for two decades won't be doing so for this year's midterms. All because the Trump administration didn't invite them.

democracydocket.comExclusive: These international observers have monitored US elections for decades. This time, the Trump admin didn’t invite themIt’s the latest ominous sign that the U.S. is backsliding on democracy — and adds to concerns that the administration wants to undermine the vote.

It seems a little crazy to me for the president to refuse to repair a government building unless his name is put on it after Congress allocated the money for it. Seems like something Republicans running in the midterms should condemn. Unfortunately they are too afraid of Trump
