Giving this another little bump because its Friday-- the day you think about getting books for the weekend!

Petergeist Clines@peterclines.com

BY THE WAY... if you haven't subscribed to the newsletter, you may like to know you can preorder the paperback of GOD'S JUNK DRAWER through @mystgalaxybooks.bsky.social and I'll be signing all of said paperbacks. Get the book. Get it scribbled in. Get three or four and you're set for the holidays!

I can't even begin to express how delighted I am by this!

If you're anywhere near the Capitol Region this weekend, make sure you stop by Albany Comic Con on Sunday, one of my favorite shows. Couldn't make it this year, but I will be back soon. It's such a great show with some fantastic guests.

Ron Marz@ronmarz.bsky.social

This Sunday in Albany, NY: me, Jim Starlin, Joe Staton, @tomraney.bsky.social, @mckone.bsky.social, and plenty more for Albany Comic Con.

I mean... it's hard to argue with the man. It is a very, very awesome book. One of my favorites of the year.

I ain’t gonna front: last year @sandyjarrell.com and I released one of the coolest books EVER, an introduction to the DC Universe in narrative form influenced by tons of stuff that came before us, filtered through our own fevered brains, all in a kid-friendly package. We rule the wasteland.

I'm so excited about this. Huge fan of everyone involved. But mainly Murderbot. I really love Murderbot. More Murderbot stuff please.

Paul Cornell@paulcornell.bsky.social

The @cosmiclighthouse.co.uk #Murderbot graphic novel is a work of love for the subject matter, with @marthawells.com herself as consultant. www.kickstarter.com/projects/cos...

Based on my very erratic career, I'm not sure anyone should take any career advice from me, but I firmly believe that in a year or so when all these companies are churning out AI slop and none of it is catching on and they start rehiring creatives, make sure you're too busy with your own thing.

I genuinely think that creatives starting up their own things, whether in video games or publishing or films or whatever creative industry you work in is the best way to survive the insanity going on right now. Not saying we'll all get rich, but you'll be making your stuff.

And you'll be in a better position when the audience wants something that isn't slop. You'll be right there with pure 100% human-made not-slop. Just a thought. Take it for what it's worth.

Hey, look! It's my buddy Mieke Em! Being all cool and stuff!

Happy trans girl here, about to get to work writing and drawing comics all day. Just a reminder that life can be whatever you imagine. Be brave, have fun, dare to dream and make it happen. #transisbeautiful

The French edition of THE OCTOBER GIRL Book One in the Musée de la Bande Dessinée shop in Belgium!

Euan Murray@fuzzball1981.bsky.social

Oh, and also spotted a French language edition of The October Girl by @matthewdowsmith.bsky.social in the shop!

It's release day and Amazon is already running low on THE OCTOBER GIRL Book Three! Not the most clearcut metric for how a book is doing, BUT I WILL TAKE IT. Huge thanks to everyone picking it up, wherever you are picking it up from!

Studio Selfie: Trying to work on a book release day is always a little weird. Can't speak for other people, but release days are weirdly stressful and often surprisingly anti-climactic for me. Should probably have shaved, though. In my defense, I've got a lot going on right now.

Can't believe this is coming out tomorrow. I've been dreaming about this story for more than 30 years. Almost can't wrap my head around the fact that Book Three is about to come out and that I'm already neck deep in making Book Five. I hope you'll check the series out. I'm fiercely proud of it.

So excited/nervous for everyone to read Book Three. This is the one where I open up the world of the Night Folk a bit wider and introduce a bunch of things that I've been hinting at since the beginning. And it sets up a few things that are going to be driving the rest of the books in the series.

That's right. "The rest of the books in the series". Book Three is not the end. You guys are gonna be stuck with Autumn and me for a few more years. (Seven. There are going to be seven OG books in total. Yeah, know... I don't know how I tricked them into letting me do that many, either.)

The even weirder thing is that there are at least 3 more books up for pre-order that I could have added to that carousel of covers and, like, just a few years ago I felt like I was a failure and my career was just over. So... you know... don't give up, people. Things can change in a heartbeat.

This is a MASTERCLASS in sequential storytelling.

The complete Flash VS Ming fight from the past few weeks of FLASH GORDON. This is the first time in our whole rebooted series where we're actually seeing these two fight face to face — It's the year three finale, I wanted it to feel BIG.
