‘Not acting on climate change means a certain World War in the lifetime of anybody born from now on.’ Scientists explain that climate change is a far bigger threat than governments are telling you:

Patient’s died and others suffocated, during this years record breaking heat, UK nurses say. Cancer patients endured sweat dripping down their faces and in one case maggots were found growing in a wound. Reminder: it’s going to get much hotter. news.sky.com/story/patien...

Lots of us have been trying to warn about this for the last 20 years. We’ve been treated like lunatics and extremists and lots of protesters have been put in prison. We’re now reaching a point where consequences are occurring. You can’t say we didn’t warn you. #climate

This is climate breakdown. You have been failed by 40 years of oil industry lobbying andpoliticians and media who’ve ignored the terrifying reality of what is happening to the planet. The oil industry and their politicians and media stooges should be held accountable. This is just the beginning.

Jason Arday has died after a vicious press campaign over the last few weeks. The Government must urgently launch an inquiry into the rotten culture of the press, and any role it had in his death. Add your name now: hackedoff.org/campaign-actions/demand-an-inquiry-into-the-culture-of-the-press

Dr Charlie Gardner, conservation scientist at the university of Kent, explaining the UK government has no plan to protect us from the coming food crisis that even farmers are now warning about. Largely ignored by media also. #wildfires #climatechange

My friend Jonathan Fuller took this picture of ducks in a dried up pond on Wallasea Island, Essex. It’s heartbreaking. I will never ever forgive the media, politicians, the oil industry and the moronic fools on social media who have been complicit in this climate crisis. #heatwave

Scientists are trying to tell us that climate change is happening faster than predicted, and that the public don’t understand the imminent danger, but the media refuses to put them on air. Why? @ProfBillMcGuire is Emeritus Professor of Geophysical & Climate Hazards at University College London.

It is ok that individual journalsists don’t understand - they’re not experts, after all - but it is not ok to refuse to platform leading scientists telling us how bad things are. Put scientists like Prof Kevin Anderson on air @KevinClimate , University of Manchester #wildfires #climatechange #heat

The devastation on its way is unimaginable - like nothing humanity has ever witnessed before - and everyone will wish they had been climate activists and ‘hysterics’ when they had the chance. We are in a moment of unprecedented stupidity

A reminder that 2024 was the hottest year ever recorded on Earth, and yesterday a group of food industry insiders warned that UK food security is in danger and food shortages are on the way. I imagine the football scores will get more media coverage. news.sky.com/story/march-...

news.sky.comMarch hottest on record in Europe - with warnings of 'harsher heat waves and wildfires' this summerMarch was not just warmer than average, it was a lot warmer, the EU's Copernicus Climate Change Service has found.

Here we go. The establishment are terrified of Gary Stevenson because hes connecting to millions in a way that rarely happens. They'll try and do anything to undermine him and will make stuff up, no doubt. Don't believe the billionaire owned press. They are not your friend. (dailymailonline:)

Melting glaciers have caused almost 2cm of sea level rise this century alone, a study has revealed. The world’s glaciers lost an average of 273bn tonnes of ice every year – the equivalent of 30 years of water consumption by the entire global population. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Climate science deniers want you to believe we don’t understand what’s happened in the past. *They* don’t - but scientists do. That’s how we know about the Jurassic era and the climates the Earth has experienced. Watch Chris Packhams excellent explainer www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...

Breaking 🚨: ‘January 25 hottest January ever recorded.’ Should have demanded action when we had the chance. Hotter than it has been for more than 100,000 years. Most of the public have no understanding about any of this or what it means www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

‘Dangerous climate breakdown has arrived.’ The President of the USA doesn’t accept it. The party leading in U.K. polls doesn’t accept it. The media never treats it like the threat it is. It barely trends on Twitter etc. Humanity is not fit for purpose. news.sky.com/story/danger...

I am stunned the world is not reacting to this. I think the more people like me talk about it, the more people write it off. Seems we are so broken that sliding into unimaginable calamity is the only way people will even look at the situation honestly. We are lost.

This is why political analyses of climate climate have warned of the rise of more authoritarian governments in response to growing societal and economic impacts.
