First: @ahoycomicmags.bsky.social Toxic Avenger vs Noxious Offender a grimy book with a mean spirit and a sad heart about what it might mean to bring a child into our hell world. also features a nega-version of our hero with a backwards baseball hat + goatee. Not for everyone, but certainly for me.

Second, Sabrina the Teenage Witch is wholesome and adorable. The Kano artwork is charming, our heroine is adorable. An easy recommendation to ANY reader.

Best and last, Dinner Date from @ignitionpress.bsky.social by @joannestarer.bsky.social and @kharyrandolph.bsky.social is sexy, moody and has the most exciting premise (of all six books, not just the three indie titles) told out of time and all about how the apps (from Tinder to Uber) are exhausting

Midnight Spider-Man fixes my biggest issue with the Peter Parker character and book, the objectivist/libertarian heart at its center. “Are you a victim? Or are you the other thing?” God what great artwork and what an exciting update. #comicsky

Midnight Fantastic Four should surprise no one was Allison’s favorite (she’s still ride or die for @benjaminpercy.bsky.social ) but it’s the most propulsive of the three. Longtime fansof the FF might struggle, but lean into the curve of this delightful madman (Reed or Percy? Who knows) #comicsky

Later we get into the Midnight Marvel comics properly. Midnight Spider-man takes a job interview, Midnight Fantastic Four sees Reed as a Madman, and the Midnight X-Men are doing the darkest thing of all, getting into Catholicism!
