I enjoy using my RSS feed to keep up to date with a variety of topics. For tech, I don't need to hear about - baseball - "yours truly" - whatever this latest x related igno-arrogance is It's a simple unsubscribe.

I just changed a major thing in Sunshine's back-end. You shouldn't have noticed anything.

Molotov the Magpie and sibling Mikhail. I'm disappointed that i missed focus on these.

Reddit sucks. And, tons of people post useful information there. I've been using rss to follow subreddits I'm interested in. It's been good. Of course, they announce that they're getting rid of rss.

Sunshine 1.1 has been out for a few days so far, and people are telling me they absolutely love the watch app. 😎 My plan was to update for the Duo quickly, then move on to building some (very) big new features for v2.

But, those rejections I whinged about last week demotivated me entirely. I tested Sunshine in the Duo simulator, and it works pretty well. Some things are stretched where they shouldn't be, but it's fine. No black bars. I think I might roll Duo support into a future update.

I mean, the only reasons I'd have Duo support are - People who use Sunshine have iPhone Duos and really want support - I have some great ideas unique to the form factor - Apple will feature Sunshine, increasing customers None of these things will happen soon.

Really, give this one a try. The complications on watchOS are really neat. Also i rebuilt the api. And the main weather view.

Yes! Sunshine for watchOS has arrived. The coolest weather app in Australia just hit version 1.1, and has a completely refreshed main weather view, faster loading, landscape support, and a heap more. Check it out. ☀️😎☀️ apps.apple.com/au/app/sunshin... #australia #weather #indiedev

If you right click on the "Ask Siri" option in the right click menu, it creates a bugged out floating "Ask Siri" window that floats forever on your desktop. Double cursors!

This app powers all the colours in my apps (Assets Catalog) and my website (CSS/shadows/variables). It's so fast, and great. Also, Marc will add whatever you ask him to if you ask nicely.

It goes all the way to 1.11.1.

SwiftUI is one of the neatest things I've learned. I prefer it over Figma/Sketch when mocking up UI now. It's faster, and real. I highly recommend learning it if you're a designer with the curiosity.

Marshall and Margaret have evicted/banished last year's fledglings. Farewell, Mao and Mulan. I'm wondering what names I could give the new ones.

Some very poorly made apps install background processes that run all the time on your computer. Even after you close the main app. macOS 27 calls them out, and gives you the agency to kill them. #loveToSeeIt

As of the time of this writing, macOS 27 beta is a far better overall experience than macOS 26 release. The big annoying stuff: mostly gone. The smaller annoying stuff: It gives me hope they're working on it.

And, Siri is good now. It understands Australian cultural references, and mundane things like "when will the tram be back online?"

Me, in a packed sports pub on the eve of the NRL state of origin match: "2 beers please!" Bar staff, pouring the beer: "are you watching the game tonight?" Me: "what game!?" 🫗🫗
