I also did the mainland temple quests with that character, which did lock me out of one telvanni quest line. But I now can strongly recommend doing the mainland temple quests the first time playing Tamriel Rebuilt.

You go all over the mainland, and I got a better feeling for House Indoril than when I actually joined their house (which you mostly just get the "Screw Hlaalu" aspect). I didn't do all of them, I got derailed when I heard that a temple in Narsis had Vivec's spear, and oh the irony I could do.

There's a faction perk for Telvanni that boosts constant effect items based on rep up to double. You can't outrun cliff racers with just the boots. But boots giving you +400 speed? You can finally get away from them... To be dogpiled shortly after stopping.

I love that the new photo view on this app is so vibe coded that I have to figure out where the "save image" menu option is based on vibes, as somehow they fucked up showing a pop up menu. If only there was a common way of doing things like displaying menus so everyone didn't have to hand roll it
