Well, my friends, my new book is all finished and ready to be published in the middle of December. The book is called “Night Shepherd.” It’s basically Quantum Leap meets Batman. 😂 It’s either revolutionary or a work of sheer lunacy. Pretty soon we’ll know which. 😂 #books #bookskt #writer #literature

Study of "Elenka" after Alice Neel. Pastel on paper. #art #artsky #painting #pastel #humanart #aliceneel This is a study of an Alice Neel painting. I'm terrible at drawing clothing, shading fabric is hard. 😂

"The Mind of the Mountain." 12x16 pastels on paper. #art #artsky #painting #painter #pastels #humanart I was thinking of Hokusai's and Hiroshige's landscapes when I made this.... and Helen Frankenthaler. 🙂

"Bathers (after Seurat.)" Pastel and acrylic on paper. #art #artsky #painting #painter #humanart This is a study I did of Seurat's "Bathers at Asnières." This is what I want to paint.... scenes with people in them. 🙂

"Salome is Presented with the Head of John the Baptist." #art #artsky #painting #painter #caravaggio #humanart This is based on a Caravaggio painting. It didn't turn out quite like I wanted. But it was a learning experience. 😃

"Apollo and Daphne." #art #artsky #painting #painter #humanart This is based on a painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Piero del Pollaiuolo. The god Apollo tries to rape the nymph Daphne, and she transforms into a tree to escape.

"Phantom." Pastel and acrylic on paper. #art #artsky #painting #painter #humanart I used acrylic paint on this. I forgot how thrilling using a paintbrush and real paint is. 😃
