Saw Resident Evil last night. Extremely good. Only major note is that Austin Abrams, great as he is, looked distractingly like Rhys Darby in it, so I couldn’t help daydreaming about a Resident Evil movie fronted by Murray from Flight of the Conchords.

Really need Digital Foundry to tell me if Witcher 3 Remastered being pitch black in all indoor areas is an impressive modern technical feat or not.

Purchasing this video on iTunes and watching it about 400 times in three days on my OG iPhone is the most aggressively mid-noughties memory that I cherish.

Explaining to your kids that in the 90s we literally had three Batmen in this period of time.

A 30-second teaser of Battinson's new fit in The Batman: Part 2 has made its way online, courtesy of Matt Reeves. This comes with the news that the film will now be released on 18 February 2028. Read more: www.empireonline.com/movies/news/...

I know we know nothing about the next Bond film yet but if he doesn't spend a very large chunk of it trying and failing to open doors that are keycard-locked despite wearing a watch that was apparently designed by MI6's greatest minds to be able to hack anything, then I'm not watching it.

Here's an easter egg in the new Lego Batman that I think all of you will REALLY appreciate. It's so good, I had to make a video.

Bananza, Death Stranding 2 and Tony Hawk’s 3+4 are, as expected, making for an absolute dream of a summer trio for me right now. Only downside being that every time I turn one of them on, I’m hearing the call of the other two. But yeah, eating good.

Having a great time with Tony Hawk’s 3+4 but underestimated how much the music thing detracts from pretty much the whole vibe. It really is such a letdown. There are probably no other circumstances under which 2025 me would listen to Less Than Jake and I’ve been denied this reunion.

Hideo Kojima is currently sat in a dark room about to commence a Mad Max movie marathon with no breaks in an attempt to cheer himself up after learning that everyone thinks he made another banger

If someone takes a flawless - and I really mean that if I see so much as a single fleck under there then we’re finished - screen protector application concept to Dragons’ Den then I’m telling you now it will leave Reggae Reggae Sauce in the dust.

Lots of music is great but it’s vanishingly rare that a song fades out and you think to yourself “that is the one of the most incredible things I’ve ever heard.” Unless you’re listening to The Beach Boys.

Is the final episode of Andor the most low-key prestige tv finale ever? Not meant as a criticism at all. Entirely earned. And it makes sense that it feels more like an exhale before Rogue One than the end of a story. Just can’t remember anything like it. Anyway, what a show. Astoundingly good stuff.

That is one Metal Gear-looking strand-type game right there.

Edge 411 is out today, featuring Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. For our 16-page cover story, Simon Parkin visits Kojima Productions to play the studio’s most ambitious game to date and discuss its creation with Hideo Kojima, who explains why it is more Aliens than Alien.

Bottling it just as you're onto something good? You couldn't fit in more if you tried.

Met a girl online, went on a few dates, we get on great and there's chemistry between us but she mentioned her family all support Spurs and now I going to end it, don't think I can allow that type of misery in my life.

@jasonschreier.bsky.social I agree with every single one of your Clair Obscur issues and at time I’ve felt like I’m going bad reading so much breathless praise that seems to overlook all of them. So glad that it’s doing as well as it is but for every great moment I have in it, something irritates me

Really enjoying Clair Obscur but the lack of a minimap is frequently rage-inducing when most areas are like mazes and I don’t think I’ve ever played game in which levelling up happens so often that it actually becomes a bit of a chore. Spend as much time in boring menus as I do doing cool dodging.

As a first effort though this thing is pretty remarkable. And now all the combat stuff has started to click (which it gradually does the more you play) I’m dropping mimes for fun.

Dunno how people are so far in already though. I feel like I’ve been playing for about 50 hours and I’m not even out of act one yet. are you supposed to fight everything? I am fighting everything.

The goal was a pain is the arse that will bother me for the next week I imagine, but last night was a much-needed reminder of how utterly incredible the new White Hart Lane can be when it really matters. When we eventually get it right (in every comp) it’s going to be something.

Removing Polygon from my bookmarks bar is going to be extremely depressing. Gutted for everyone involved with that site. You built something original and always worth visiting.

Reading all the Clair Obscur praise reminds me that Nintendo figured out how to make turn-based combat fun on pretty much its first attempt and it took decades for anyone to really pay attention. Strange.

Spent the weekend playing and enjoying Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 but made the mistake of assuming that anyone with Charlie Cox’s voice would be pretty much invincible in combat. Absolutely not so.
