now that i've been diving back into sixth-gen console gaming (aka the PS2 and that's about it lol) i've started noticing some of the things that have became more commonplace in the years since that are notably absent from these older games man, i miss subtitles hearing is hard 😭

man, I hate capitalism lol. the more you learn about capitalism, finance, stocks, trading, values whatever, you realize it's just the biggest fucking gambling scam pachinko game ever

"You better keep an eye on me! I won't stop making this thing that could *totally* destroy the world if we're not careful! I have to make it though or somebody else will so you better look at me! And also buy a subscription to the potential doomsday device. Everyone will use it in the future."

"BUT IF WE'RE NOT CAREFUL IT COULD DESTROYYY THE WORLLLLDDDD! OOOOOO! I'm soooo important!!!" - big tech CEOs probably and then later they wonder, "why does everyone hate the thing I'm forcing on them that I keep saying could kill them 🤔" man, I wonder why we hate these guys? /s

the reason I often keep my takes vague is that they are then evergreen to be reported as needed (if I remember)

Watching blusky periodically set itself on fire is just... I knew signing up this probably wouldn't be The New Place cuz like ORIGINALLY MADE BY JACK TWITTER HIMSELF FOR TWITTER but it's always disappointing to be right about things like this. Still I'll remain here until they personally evict me.

too many folk still out there objectifying women meanwhile, i've taken to womanifying objects. calling the toaster girliepop and thanking her when the toast comes out good flirting with my computer like, "there you go, girl, you booted real good this time" sloppy make outs with the silverware

but seriously, my tendency to refer to inanimate objects with feminine terms interacts in very funny ways with my being horrendously sapphic. especially since I work with and inside of machines. i have called far too many arcade machines "good girl"

huh. y'know, i honestly didn't think i would get a bingo going in lol i also don't remember a lot of my time in school so.... this might not be totally accurate either lol

i have never really aligned with traditional masculinity and luckily, never felt a great push to perform it beyond the most superficial manner as a jester, an entertainer, and a caretaker, i hid (and still hide) quite a lot of my emotions i had minimal control over my hairstyle until i was 18

when i made girl characters in games, i would make them into "the kind of person i was attracted to" rather than make them look like myself because it felt like what i was supposed to do with a girl character i've used fantasizing and dissociating as a coping mechanism since i was single-digit ages

i largely stopped associating with girls in elementary school after getting uncomfortable with adults romanticizing my friendships i did not understand the desire for relationships until i was like 16 and my feelings around that not matching with the guys my age was the first cracks in my egg

i was actually greatly uncomfortable with the pejorative ways people would refer to me femininely growing up and when people suggested i was gay (attracted to men) out of deep fear of social ostracization for being more different than what i already was as the often token black kid

interesting takeaways/notes: i wasn't just kinda uncomfortable with gym showers, i never sweat that much so i just didn't shower and put on extra deodorant instead! i lived in t-shirt, jeans, and a zip hoodie year round for at least 5 years and the first time i shaved was high school graduation day
