When Trump won on a populist message, strategists urged Democrats to adopt the message and learn how to talk to working people. And they did. Democrats — and most notably Democratic Socialists — have run and won on popular progressive policies.

The voters are making it clear what they want. They are voting for candidates who are proposing real solutions to a real affordability crisis. This is how we are going to win. This is the future of the party. And anyone who isn’t ready to welcome it, isn’t serious about winning.
