How will we ever explain to future generations that this monster was twice elected president?

Marisa Kabas@marisakabas.bsky.social

Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States. "In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct." Report w/ new details: democrats-judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

Somewhere in June 2026, I said @scolom.bsky.social has a better chance to be in the US Senate than Graham Platner and you should give your anger money to him. Hotty Toddy, MF’ers.

Seven months ago, we shocked the world in the primary. In just 10 days, we are going to do it again. It’s winning time.

The man can't even remember the derisive language he used to describe them in the first place.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Libya, Hemen, Haiti, Somalia -- remember what I called them? Shit house countries."

It was a contacts day. I’ve had three people today tell me I have great eyebrows which…does that mean thick eyebrows are back in because man, that would make being fashionable easy!

This sort of rhetoric--that SA abuse victims are "flawed" somehow--is the natural endpoint when we describe them as being broken or destroyed or ruined, sometimes in an effort to be empathetic, sometimes to justify outcome severity. Read about it here: www.law.georgetown.edu/georgetown-l...

NEW: Vivek Ramaswamy says Amy Acton being a victim of childhood sexual abuse makes her “flawed” while defending his ad featuring her estranged mother. “In politics sometimes it's a tough sport.”

Even if you accept this explanation, the ad relies on a woman who believed her child sex abuser husband over her 12-year-old daughter - so, maybe she isn't the best person to assess someone's truthfulness and crediblity (especially someone she has had no contact with since they were 12).

Vivek Ramaswamy defends his ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother: "We ran an ad about lying…They are lying about an ad that is about lying. That is the truth of the matter. It had nothing to do with childhood abuse, which I will be the number one governor to prosecute."

I have now, in the last calendar ten and a half months or so, officially lost 70 pounds. It's been a lot. Getting off the constant IVF meds was huge. Running has helped a lot but combined with strength training, it got a lot easier and protected my joints. But honestly, it's a weird experience.

The weirdest thing is I don't always recognize myself, in passing, reflected in a mirror or a window. That person is not who I am in my own head. For a split second I'll be like "hey, I like her outfit" or something before I realize that it's me. And, honestly, that's not always...pleasant?

It's actually disorienting and sometimes a little hard. On a plane, or getting out of a car, for example, I still assume that I'm 70 pounds heavier and I will move like I am and make no sense. I'm glad the 70 are gone, and I still have more work to do, but it's really, really confusing sometimes!

I'm slightly lighter than I was almost seven years ago when @brianlfrye.bsky.social and I got together, so if you haven't seen me since pre-pandemic, well, not a lot has changed. But people who haven't seen me in a year or a little more sometimes don't even recognize me.

This makes me think of a law professor who told me that I should stop talking or writing about being SA'ed as a child or my experiences flowing from being a victim because I "need to move past bad things that happened [to me]." Fucking gross.

Unearthed footage of Vivek Ramaswamy mocking Amy Acton for being a survivor of childhood abuse: "She has no vision other than to complain about what someone else did to her"

What's also fucked up about this is that is was *his* campaign that brought all this up in the first place. It's not like Acton was talking about this herself until Ramaswamy decided to try to make it an issue.

Yes, that is the assumption that some people make about us. That because we (and I mean Acton, me, and others SA'ed as kids) were abused, we must be crazy. That we must be mentally ill. That we must be broken or somehow rendered nonfunctional.

Ann Monster Lipton@annmlipton.bsky.social

he's doubling down because if she was sexually abused as a kid she must be cray-cray. is i assume the strategy

I still look around for him sometimes. Brian and I go on Moe's favorite walk that he'd do twice a day and I know that Moe would enjoy that it's finally starting to cool off and would start pulling on his leash more if he were around. He's very much missed in our house.

Holy shit. This is disgusting on Ramaswamy's part, but my heart goes out to Acton. I hope this just makes her even more relatable to voters who may also have experience with toxic and abusive parents.
