It was exciting to celebrate the construction of the University of Delaware’s new Securing American Biomanufacturing Research and Education (SABRE) Center alongside Dr. Kelvin Lee, a leader in our state's biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

I am proud to have helped secure over $1 million dollars in federal funding for the SABRE Center & it was my honor to sign a beam that will hold up this new state-of-the-art facility, which will move life-saving medical tech beyond the lab and provide hands-on workforce training to students.

I joined the Delaware Credit Union Association in Georgetown to discuss expanding financial stability for Delawareans. I’m thankful for our local credit union leaders who are advocating for affordable housing and fair economic opportunities.

2/ Trump and Congressional Republicans chose to push through their Big Ugly Bill and pass the largest cut to the American healthcare system in history & allow the ACA Enhanced Premium Tax Credits to expire — putting coverage further out of reach, less affordable, and inaccessible for my neighbors.

This is a clear rebuke of this president's reckless handling of the economy, which has driven up inflation and done nothing to address the affordability crisis facing working families in Delaware and everywhere.

1/ I was honored to join colleagues, partners, and labor leaders from across local, state, and federal leadership to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the Delaware Container Terminal at the Port of Wilmington.

2/ The funding for this exciting next chapter — partly secured by our Congressional Delegation, past and present — represents an investment in economic opportunity for our neighbors, stronger supply chains, and the capacity of Delaware to continue leading in international commerce.

1/ During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the Hispanic communities in Delaware and around the country. Even in the face of unprecedented adversity and attacks, Hispanic Americans' powerful contributions and rich culture continue to shape our country for the better.
