Hello. My first book is out next week, all looking at the homophobic policy of Section 28 meant that a generation of young queer people relied on TV to make them feel seen. Pre-orders make a huge difference. You can pre-order here: geni.us/OutNowScottB...

It's publication day for A Feast of Folklore! Normally I'd be in town signing every copy I can find but I might melt in the heat. So pretend I'm posting amazingly professional promo pics here, and not clinging to a fan. #FolkloreThursday

Thoughts on the Kylie doc: Pete Waterman needs to get his many stories about the creation of I Should Be So Lucky straight. He tells a very different one in his own 2000 book. Going from Jason to Michael Hutchence is such an amazing move, what a woman. Also: what an incredibly hot couple they were

Episode three was incredible and I cried multiple times. The parts about pop being healing really connected, as did the idea that cancer isn't always a one and done thing. The final section, with Story, was brutal but beautiful. Basically Kylie4eva 💜

Every shot of the pair of them together I want on a t-shirt immediately. I thought episode two leant a little too heavily on Nick Cave, with some weird timelines errors in that section to make the point stick. Wanted a bit more on the Impossible Princess era more generally as an important outlier

With Twitter gone, the PJ Forum going, and me and Bluesky just not getting along, I can't believe Instagram is where I'm going to feed off the new Madonna album excitement. But it feels so fragmented over there. It's a #popmusicemergency without a helpline

We started the Pitt over the weekend and I can’t get the word “de-gloved” out of my head. In fact, I can never look at a glove, a dove, or feel love without thinking of that image
