So, um, hi to my 2000+ new followers. I was just kind of shouting into the void. I didn’t expect any interaction at all, let alone this. I don’t love all the attention, if I’m being honest. I want to manage expectations: i will disappoint you. I post mostly Celtics memes and snarky comments.

1. Good. 2. I'm really sick of only the women in the regime facing consequences.

The White House asked Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign from her post as the U.S. ambassador to Greece after a string of damaging reports, including that she had asked a Republican donor to pay off her credit card. nyti.ms/47dHAnB

To the person sitting in their car on my street blasting the soundtrack to 'Armageddon' at top volume... I wish you the best with whatever you're going through.

Dear Men: Women do not owe you shit. Not our bodies, our affection, sex, submission, an explanation, reassurance that we know you're a "good guy," a justification, discomfort-free discourse, a tidy narrative... OR OUR NAMES. Hope that clears things up!

Hey @duolingoverde.bsky.social German learner here. How come you distinguish between a “doctor” and a “female doctor” when asking me for the correct word? Yes, I know they’re different words (Arzt vs Ärztin). Why not distinguish between a “male doctor” and a “female doctor”? Be better please.

Worse than the men who say “none of my guy friends” are the ones who say “I don’t know a single woman…” If you don’t know a single woman with a story, it’s because you’re not a safe person to tell. Full stop.

1 in fucking 2. 1 in 3 women have experienced unwanted sexual contact. 1 in 4 sexual assault. Stop before you say “I would never be friends with someone who did that.”

You may believe that but it’s not credible. 1 in 2, 3, 4 women you know, but not one man? We don’t live in a country of 175M good guys and one Genghis Khan-level monster running around giving the rest a bad rap. 57 men in that group chat. How many Cornell men could truly say they knew none of them?

1 in 2 women are victims of sexual violence. Men: Think back. Every other woman you encountered today has a story. Is it your barista or your uber driver? Which two of your flight attendants? Your admin assistant or the receptionist? The waitress who served your dinner or the sous who cooked it?

All the while there is a concerted and destined-to-be-successful effort to out her identity. Why? To put her in danger. To punish her for speaking out. To retaliate against the accountability she will bring on the men who drugged, trafficked, and assaulted her

Today we were negotiating with opposing counsel. I sent an email: “we don’t consent to your proposal,” and he tried to force his plan on us anyway. My colleague was surprised by my (unapologetically) extreme reaction. Men show women, every day and in so many ways, that consent doesn’t matter.

All the while, we’re holding space for Jane Doe. Grappling with our own traumas that it resurfaces. With the rage smoldering barely beneath the surface.

All the while we’re seeing person (ahem, man) after person (ahem, man) ask why Jane Doe let herself get drunk, why she would go to a frat house, why her story details don’t match perfectly. It’s fucking exhausting.

We are expected to go through our days. Sitting on a plane next to a manspreader. Focusing on work. Smiling through meetings and coffees. Making small talk. Staying hydrated.

Narrator: It will absolutely tip over.

Guys, THIS IS WILD Trump’s 250-foot arch isn’t supposed to start construction until November, but geologists are already testing the soil. Why? Because apparently they need to make sure the tallest triumphal arch on earth won’t just tip over when it’s built. 👀

Utter lawlessness. This is nothing but direct defiance of a federal court order. Thats’s nothing new for the regime, of course. In immigration habeas cases they ignore courts left and right. But they count on being able to do it in the shadows. Doing it in a case where the media is a party is bold.

Every Maine voter *must* read this before November. @propublica.org uncovered that Susan Collins accept hundreds of thousands in bribes from a defense contractor. Trump shut down a criminal investigation into it. And tens of millions of dollars flowed to a contractor that never produced anything.

Susan Collins is breathing, so she’s lying. She knows this is bad news for her campaign, so she addressed the @propublica.org exposé. Her statements on it are false. Maine voters, don’t let her sweep this under the rug. ProPublica sure won’t.

@propublica found an email showing she did, in fact, know, that money from a seemingly innocuous company actually came from the defense contractor.

Susan likes to boast on the campaign trail about all the jobs she brings into Maine. It's her one selling point (the rest of the time she's selling out). Next time you hear her stump, ask yourself: is she bringing those jobs in to help Mainers? Or to line her own pockets?

In 2019, with her Senate seat at risk, a staffer solicited a bribe from a defense contractor. Defense contractors are forbidden from making campaign donations, precisely to prevent such bribes. So they paid it through a shell corp. But they had a request: make sure Collins knew who it came from.

Holy moley.

HaJ3FgupAm8RrDJW3MHgT9X7Ft27eVaD What is that? That's a hard-coded API token that Flock cameras use to identify themselves and get OAuth credentials, which can then be used to talk to Flock's production servers. Like, anyone on the internet can probably do this right now.

Reclining your seat on a 2-hour flight in the middle of the day creates an irrebuttable presumption that you are a sociopath. I don’t make the rules.

So you know “One Last Breath” by Creed? Yeah you do. It goes “Hold me now/ I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking/ Maybe six feet ain't so far down.” For those of us of a certain age, there was a day when this song was all edgy (hah) when we were in our feels. Mighta put it on our MySpace.

“Six feet from the edge” is not even close. You could trip and fall on your face and still not be in danger. You could play hopscotch with room to spare. There are entire kitchens in NYC with less wiggle room. I could parallel park a Fiat between you and the edge. And I suck at parallel parking.

And you know what? Creed is right. “Six feet ain’t so far down.” Im 5’6”. It’s barely higher than the top of my head. Look. I’m 42 and I don’t drink enough milk. So I’d probably fork up my knee on landing. But it’s an eminently survivable jump. Why’d I assume it’s a jump? It’s a survivable fall.
