Ugh. My stupid dad got on me again about being unemployed. Saying stuff like "All you do is play pokemon! I should have never bought you that thing when you were a kid!". He even yanked my game boy out of my hands! I followed him out into the backyard, but all I found there was a shiny charizard!

Scored a copy of Pokemon Gold from a garage sale. The old guy who I got it from gave it to me for free, like he was trying to get rid of it. Muttered something about how he didn't have to catch em all anymore or somethin. Went for groceries with my boyfriend after. Pic related. He's so cute, right?

I wonder if there's something to be said about people becoming more front facing cartoonishly evil when media started focusing on deeper and more nuanced redeemable villains. Or maybe that's just my own filtered perception
