ITS THAT TIME AGAIN FOLKS Mechatober 2026 is here, which means I will be pumping out daily mech sprites! As per usual this is done mainly for the community of @retrogrademinis.bsky.social but is open for all to participate in! Tag posts here with #Mechatober or #Mechatober2026 so I can find them!

really starting to feel like im all washed up gamers. Im tryn not to but those demons are very loud.

Donkey kong be like

Really drawing a blank for what to do for today. I've had several ideas and all the attempts to throw them together in rough have just kinda collapsed. Lot of impostor syndrome kicking in feeling like my work doesnt hold up to the amasing stuff I see others making for mechatober, idk.

#Mechatober Day 22 - Forge - Hephaestus `Most pilots are blessed to get access to one of those fancy schmancy printers. Others though, we gotta do it all ourselves.` #Mechatober2026

#Mechatober2026 Day 20, Frightful Mech: Justice Enforcer [Horus Lycan] (Commissioned Piece) #Pixelart #Lancerttrpg #RetrogradeMinis

Mechatober Day 20: Frightful SCC Atlas “Ah, cousins... you needn't have come all at once. Though I thank you it saves me killing you one by one.” “You cannot kill us all.” “That, my cousin, is where you are wrong.” —House Dorst Succession Crisis #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

In regards to the "discharge" prompt, im actually going to sit on that one because i had a brilliant idea for it that also lines up with contamination that im going to devote extra energy to as a result. So ill be holding that in reserve to double up with.

#mechatober2026 And it's a shepherd mech. Given how bright I like things, this is an exceedingly subdued colour palette. Also; if they're not quite 'sheep,' can the robot actually be a shepherd?

PLP479_2: Gauss Discharge #art #DigitalArt #DigitalPainting #Photoshop #Sketch #SpeedPaint #SciFi #SkyFi #ScienceFiction #Mecha #mechatober #mechatober2026

#Mechatober Day 20 - Frightful - PROJECT Z `Hello? HELLO?` `I'm in the exclusion zone. You're being lied to.` `The army knows exactly what this is. Its a disease that.. People aren't people anymore!` #Mechatober2026

Mechatober Day 19: Paint SSC Metalmark "The Dead Pixel's garish patterned armor scrambles depth perception and targeting. Neon patterns crawl across its silhouette, making it impossible to properly perceive. Something it's pilot uses to deadly effect." #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

#Mechatober Day 19 - Paint - Unsanctioned Public Art "You have to leave a message, with your words or your force, its the only way they're gonna listen to you." By far my favorite piece so far this month I think. #Mechatober2026

Mechatober Day 18: Pressure Horus Leviathan "Beneath the keel, below the foam, There stirs a beast that knows no home. The sea shall part, the stones shall wake, And none shall live when Leviathan breaks." -Ancient Cradle Poem #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

Outside of colour-schemes, I seldom do references; There's a handful of ZOE cockpits, some KOS boosters, and probably two Gundam things. But this felt like the right thing to do: I had the thought of a mech swirling along on some giant floor-buffer feet and, naturally, the Dom sprang to mind.

#mechatober2026 And so the ring makes a return. Initially this might look like a stupid idea, which means it hasn't altered significantly since it popped into my head :'D But I have figured out a number of details that make it "somewhat" more practical.

Mechatober Day 16: Dancer SSC Atlas "I thought she was dancing. Then she began chanting in a dead tongue, tracing circles in the sand with her blade. Each step was a prayer. Each fall of her blade an offering, and we the unwitting sacrifices." #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

Mechatober Day 17: Circus Horus Aglæcwif “Step right up, darlings! Your STRONGWOMAN has a special act prepared just for you!” "Now remember darlings. Don't blame me if you break that's just part of the show." "Tsk tsk no running away" -Recorded Comms #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

#Mechatober2026 Day 18, Pressure Mech: [UNKNOWN] #Pixelart #Lancerttrpg #RetrogradeMinis

#Mechatober Day 17 - Circus - Bearded Lady PLUS Day 18 - Pressure - Ripline MK2 Had to double up as i lost yesterday to a hangover whoops, but proud of these. #Mechatober2026

Mechatober is gonna be late today i might have been up way too late drinking whoopsie

#Mechatober Day 16 - Dancer - The Ballet Twins `It's said the Ballet twin buildings are haunted by a vengeful spirt in the hollow. If the lights flicker, run` #Mechatober2026

#Mechatober2026 Day 15, Broadcast Mech: Silencer IV [SSC Swallowtail] #Pixelart #Lancerttrpg #RetrogradeMinis

Warframe Voruna

Mechatober Day 15: Broadcast Horus Goblin SSC-backed idol Encore is a hit sensation. Her shows sell out in seconds. Nobody knows why her songs keep playing after they end, or why fans never stop singing. SSC insists her mech, POPSTAR, is above board. #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

#Mechatober2026 This and rain are bugging me but (unlike rain) I've actually finished this one (and immediately want a redo). And yes; I did just clone the illustration and flip it to fill in the background because I am not a scenery guy.

#Mechatober2026 Day 14, Rural Mech: Dawdler [RKF Taraxacum] #Pixelart #Lancerttrpg #RetrogradeMinis

Mechatober Day 14: Rural IPS-N Jones “Old Man Santos built it from a farm frame, an overloaded mower attachment, a dozer-blade , and his old cannon. Even strapped on a ship afterburner. He called it the Breakwater. The pirates didn't stand a chance.” #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

#Mechatober - Rural - Ol Reliable You never really know how much extra effort living on a farm takes until you get a power loader to help with your chores #Mechatober2026

#Mechatober2026 Day 13, Sanitation Drone: Bubble Buddy [HA Utility Drone] NHP: Alphonse [Noah-Class NHP] #Pixelart #Lancerttrpg #RetrogradeMinis

Mechatober Day 13: Sanitation HA Genghis [Sanitation Model] “How much for a battlefield?” “Whole tank.” “And the bodies?” “Scalding hot water, max pressure. Leaves nothing for disposal. Command calls it sanitation. I call it job security.” #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech

#mechatober I have been perfecting my wildlife studies using reference material. For greater accuracy, of course. For this rhino illustration, I used some Liquorice Allsorts and half a photo of a Honda NM4.

I HAVE BEEN FARMING POLYCHROME FOR NEARLY TWO WEEKS SHE MADE ME WORK MY ASS OFF GOD DAMN

#Mechatober - Sanitation - H.Corp Cleaning Truck `Hey Danny who did you say you got this new cleaner unit from?` `Hcorp, why?` `No reason` #Mechatober2026

#mechatober #mechatober2026 13. Sanitation The power farms automatically dump expended bodies into decomposition vats for recycling. But in the machine city a specialized mech collects depleted power cells and replaces them with units from its own living assortment.

#mechatober #mechatober2026 #inktober Day8: Exemplar Elite soldiers. Knights, Samurai, Ace Pilots. In every age, these figures commanded respect, and were bound by oaths of honor. And in every age, the weak were killed, their things taken by force. For violence can never be reigned in by honor alone

#mechatober An anatomically correct gorilla. I probably should've done something more creative with the prompt, but I was far too enamoured with nailing those authentic primate proportions.

Last #Mechatober illustration for the day. It's half bat, half mantis, and half disc brake. Small side note; I don't like that those indents beneath the nose(?) look like eyes. Eyes don't belong on heads; these are just, probably nostrils or something.

#Mechatober2026 Day 12, Beast Mech: Salter [HA Ghengis MK-II] (In all honesty, I just wanted to make a Ghengis) #Pixelart #Lancerttrpg #RetrogradeMinis

Mechatober Day 12: Beast ISP-N Sehkmet [Blackbeard Alt] I launch into the fray, axe raised, sword high. My frame snarls. Weapons gives way to claws. Armor glows red. I stop hearing their screams over my own. GIVE ME FIRE! GIVE ME BLOOD! I AM DEATH!!! #mechatober #mechatober2026 #LancerRPG #mech
