The EU is to blame for a lot of this. I'm generally pro-EU, even for more federalization (single army, etc), but seriously... a lot of red tape needs to be cut!

POLITICO Europe@politico.eu

Europe is angry. Rents are soaring. Energy prices are rising, fueling pain at the pump and inflation. Growth is stagnating. And borrowing costs are climbing in France, Italy, Spain and Greece. 🔗 vist.ly/5pqe9

I've still not seen an actual working PoC for this.

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

In 2020, Jared Kushner was senior advisor to the president of the United States, a full-time employee of the United States government, and was subject to numerous disclosure requirements and ethical restrictions under the Ethics in Government Act of 1978.

It is a five-alarm fire, but not for the people close to him that is fully in the loop, they now have a tremendous amount of leverage over the decrepit fool. The POTUS is fully compromised.

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

The fact that the president's doctors are giving him the dementia test over and over again -- tracking his decline, most likely -- and that the president keeps bragging about having to take that test should be a five-alarm fire.

Just reverse engineer them already. Take one apart. Clone the design. use AI to pull apart the firmware. Improve everything to be suitable for a robotic assembly line. Then tell the USA to shove it, and start selling the better clones to the rest of Europe.

It's cute that the EU still thinks that UN deals are actually worth something. For most countries they are pure virtue signaling, not legally binding documents. Countries like the USA for instance, sign these deals, not to adhere to them, but to use as geopolitical weapons against others.

Marianne Gros@mariannegros.bsky.social

In 2022, the EU helped broker a UN deal to halt nature loss. Four years, two wars, and a major energy crisis later, its green ambitions face a different political reality. As COP17 opens in Yerevan, can the EU still lead on nature protection? Read & find out: www.politico.eu/article/euro...

What is the red line for EU to say enough is enough? @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu

Israeli settlers attacked foreign nationals in the occupied West Bank on consecutive days, beating US photojournalist Heidi Levine, assaulting a French mayor and attacking European diplomats and Catholic clergy. Both attacks were filmed.

Massive immigrant riots in France. Macron basically saying "demonstrating is good, but don't break stuff, that's bad" with an undertone of "we can't punish these people, they are young and it would ruin their life". How about their life from now on consists of 20 years in prison?

This behavioural camp would be filled with mostly 1st and 2nd generation immigrants from MENA. At least here in Europe because there is zero education given in local values and laws before an immigrant enters society.

Anonymous@youranoncentral.bsky.social

There should be a programme where people can identify defective (incel) men, who are then sent to humane behavioural camps and required to pass exams before re-entering society. Men commit over 90% of murders, rapes and other serious crimes despite comprising roughly half the population.

Brick-manufacturers in the Netherlands (brick making is big business here) that want to, or are eventually forced to replace their gas ovens with electrical ones can't do it, because the power grid can't handle the additional load.

When are EU leaders ever going to learn how to express themselves properly? Here's a better statement: "The deadliest attack so far on Riyadh’s airport by the islamist Houthi terror group marks an unacceptable escalation. The Houthis must be eradicated once and for all. Free Yemen of their scourge"

Ursula von der Leyen@vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu

The deadliest Houthi attack so far on Riyadh’s airport marks a dangerous escalation. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its people.

With the betrayal of the USA towards Europe, and Trump fully siding with the criminal regime in Russia, it's time for Ukraine to go gloves off and strike the Moscow power grid and the red square!

Yeah there's no chance in hell any of this is true. Putin lied to his face and now Trump is lying to the USA.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

This is completely outrageous and disgusting. This must immediately be blocked by Congress and Trump should be impeached for this. The US is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians including children. We are lost as a country.

And not a single country in Europe dares to impose sanctions and travel bans on any of the people working in the Trump administration as retaliation. Pathetic! @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu @robjetten.bsky.social @minister-president.bsky.social

POLITICO Europe@politico.eu

The Trump administration has imposed new sanctions on the International Criminal Court, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced today.

Something like this happened down the street from my house. An apartment wad bought, foreign looking contractors on site, fake blinds put up, windows blacked out. Walked by got a peek inside. Black lights and a dance pole. Raided by city and police few weeks later. nltimes.nl/2026/10/08/r...

I hate YouTube channels that keep peddling this lie. 1+2+3+... is NOT equal to -1/12. Never was, never will be. Ramanujan was wrong. The set [1, -1, 1, -1, 1, -1, ... ] does not converge to 1/2. It's a non-convergent set! Any mathematician that believes this should quit their job!
