Anyone else feel whiplash at all the Charlie Kirk right-wing fans sobbing about what a champion to free-speech he was and then in the same breath trying to curtail the free-speech of anyone who disagrees with them? The lack of self-reflection is stunning.

I hit post before I added alt text. The image is a statement from the Virginia Department of Education saying that school personnel who have posted negative things about Kirk may have their licenses revoked.

I agree - the media spent so much time talking about Biden’s mental state. Why aren’t they talking about Trump’s obvious decline!? This guy is either in the early stages of dementia or RFK Jr’s brain worm has jumped ship.

apple.newsOpinion | Is Trump in mental decline? He sounds far worse than Biden ever did. | Opinion — USA TODAYFor those who spent weeks, months and even years howling about then-President Joe Biden's 'mental decline,' what say you about Trump's rambling?

When I was a senior in high school, we had to take a religious elective for a semester (Catholic school). I really wanted to take Death and Dying (I’m a weirdo) but the only one that would fit in my schedule was Social Justice, which was my absolute last choice…

That class was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I still think about it regularly and about how much I would like to live my life like Mrs. Brewer, who was a model of compassion, grace, and understanding.

These two congressmen, and Kristi Noem before them, flew down to CECOT and staged photo shoots with prisoners as the backdrop. I don’t care who the men behind them are or what they have done. Using human suffering to make yourself seem powerful, just makes you look cruel and small. Shame on them.

It was taught by Mrs. Brewer, a former nun, who asked us to think about issues in ways I never thought about them before. She gave us the space to explore and discuss things with no judgement. We took two field trips - one to a migrant worker’s camp and one to DC’s maximum security prison.

We spent a lot of time talking to a prisoner who was working on his college degree. We also walked through an area where prisoners screamed obscenities and spit at us. We talked to a prison chaplain who told us that all humans deserve dignity, even when it would be easier to judge them.

You are up to date.
