I feel like it is inevitable that @metabrainz.org is going to start clamping down or at least get stricter about the API. It makes me sad because it is a free resource much beloved by many of us. It is clear that many bot writers don't care about any sort of civility though.

Some legit services that lack user agent (UA) strings got blocked, during the latest botnet attack. #Navidrome and #multi-scrobbler are among those reported, but there may be others too. Please ask your service to add a UA string so we can allow their traffic! Navidrome is already pushing a fix. -a
