My current personal project is a media player / emulation console build out of a cheap Dell Optiplex 3050. It's not a perfectly smooth experience yet, but it's getting better all the time as I resolve various issues and make things play nicer together. [1/2]

But, unlike the Samsung smart TV it's connected to, it does not spy on me - the TV itself had a factory reset and was not connected to WiFi again after. Core technologies I am using: #endeavourOS #Emudeck #SteamBigPicture #Kodi [2/2]

Next week Monday I have to work at night (prod deployment outside business hours) as a result there will not be a #baldursgate3 stream next week. However we will have a large number of #WoWForever streams and these will go ahead as planned.

Yes it uses AI generated voices, but these are from text lines in a 20+ year old game - there is no way Blizard was ever going to record them, so it's not taking work away from any voice actors. [2/4]

So I should say this, because some of you probably don't know. But I'm doing a 12-hour 9am-9pm WoW:Forever Stream on November 5th. I'll post periodic reminders too. Come join me for a big launch-day marathon stream. https://metalpoet.stream [1/2]
