Oil: once reserves run low, some countries will lose access, and bid higher, this will force the price up for everyone; after that some countries will deny export (US), which will make the price go up even faster. This can happen fairly quickly, but unevenly. In the end only demand loss can solve.

I highly doubt any real deal with Iran will happen. Trump hates being labelled a loser, and the US has no way to get the uranium or open the Strait permanently, and Iran is smart enough to know both are keys to their future, and that Trump has no way to get them.

Trump on Iran War: Reporter: What extent are Americans’ financial situation motivating you to make a deal? Trump: Not even a little bit. I don't think about Americans’ financial situation

Oil futures nearing $107. The longer the blockage continues, the more pressure on crude prices ramp up. If the war restarts, lost supply might never return, and the price may climb to crazy heights. Fear of economic disaster will give way to actual economic disaster.

Trump and his cronies in the Cabinet are living in a fantasy world where they are the heroes, while everyone else sees they are a nightmare where they are the villains. Future historians will laugh at how stupid this timeline is; that is, if we survive so that there are future historians.

If the Senators go home without a deal, the airports in DC should deny them CLEAR or PreCheck, make them stand in the long lines, and stick a note on their back reading "US Senator forcing you to stand in this line".
