Increasingly leaning to the left in my world view. Some of my clothes are older than my work colleagues. Live music, proper beer and good food, enjoyed with family and friends - old and new, makes me happy.

The video starts with a Luton box van disgorging a contingent of paramilitaries dressed, in effect, in identical uniform with balaclava ski masks. NB. The "cpayne.com" on the box van back is actually "jcpayne.com", a commercial vehicle bodybuilders based in Aldridge, West Midlands. Nothing more.

Tories have run out of ideas, trotting out the same party election broadcast they were criticised by the DM for, in springtime - when winter fuel payments are not going to be paid anyway. I suppose it’s better than having Kemi talk down to us. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

Rubio and Hegseth have installed this twenty-something DOGE affiliate, Nate Cavanaugh, as acting president of the U.S. Institute of Peace, per filing. Before DOGE took control of USIP, the duly appointed president was George Moose, a career diplomat who first joined the foreign service in 1967.

The move away from the office to home working and fully remote work is a double edged sword. Home life blurs into work life. Colleagues are voices on teams calls. The commute is fantastic and you can get your shopping delivered, boiler fixed and washing done during the day. You don’t have a worklife

…certification. Productivity in UK is declining. I’m sure it’s related to the slide away from the office. As a reluctant fully remote worker, I would happily go back to the office full time and work with people again. I’m productive at home, probably working more hours and getting more done…

…but it’s individual efforts. Collaborating via Teams etc just doesn’t work the same as actually being with people and working together 1-1 to solve a problem. You cannot build the same connections and relationships remotely. I feel sad for those entering the workplace to a 100% remote job.

…anymore. You don’t have lunch with your coworkers, you don’t go to the pub after work, you don’t learn from others, there is no gossip. If you’re feeling sick or ill you are more likely to work… but should you? Your loyalty to the organisation is diminished, you are less invested. Employers are…

…also less investment in their employees. Work becomes very transactional. Managers don’t ever meet their employees. New employees can join virtually, work virtually and colleagues leave virtually. Training isn’t sitting down with someone showing how to do something, it’s online videos and self…

There are many things making this disturbing. 1. The capacity and officials prepared to act in this way pre-dates Trump. 2. The officials are out of uniform and are masked/hooded to hide their identities. /1

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying. They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks. From WCVB: youtu.be/PuFIs7OkzYY

Here's Marjorie Taylor Greene literally telling a British reporter to "go back to your country" and berating her for trying to ask a question. "We don't give a CRAP about your opinion."
