In the southern part of the UK today, where us Brits can't cope with hot weather, I am officially announcing that today is... ...FLYING ANT DAY!!

🚀New to Uno Platform? @iamtimcorey.bsky.social delivers an excellent intro, showing how C# developers can build truly cross-platform .NET applications for any platform, all from a single project. This is a must-watch. Over 20k views already, and for good reason! #dotnet #csharp

Been getting a lot of emails from "certificationforlaravel(.com)" pushing Laravel certification. It doesn't say if it's actually anything to do with @laravel.com which I'm guessing means it's not. Just some scam or actually worth it?

🤯 Something incredible has happened 😱 Something I never thought possible NativePHP for Mobile crossed $100k in gross sales In less than 3 months It all started with a wild idea to build native apps on Laravel This is just the beginning 💜

Bought a MacBook Pro a few weeks ago. 16" M4 powerhouse. Everything was going so well until I updated to Sequoia 15.4.1 and it no longer works with my external monitor no matter what I try. My old Intel one works fine. Thanks a bunch Apple. You're about to pay me a large refund. Just works huh?! 🤮💩

Just discovered the ultimate cure for procrastination and lack of motivation. For the 14th time, just started watching HBO's Silicon Valley by Mike Judge et al and it's got me super PUMPED!! 💪👊 Fuck dinner, where's my laptop?!! Always blue, always blue... #PeterGregoryWasALegend

Fellow #laravel developers using the vscode plugin, do you use other PHP plugins as well? If so, which ones are your favourite?

Who doesn't love a bit of merch?! Thank you very much to whoever sent me this 🙏

Sad times 😔 I miss the old #Ionic days...sniff ionic.io/blog/importa...

For those who have left X altogether, if this actually happened, would you go back to Twitter?

Lots of people I follow(ed) on X are now/also on here but I notice a lot of #Laravel people are not. Not sure if I'm missing something but I'm wondering if there is a reason for it 🤔 Maybe I should ask them over on 'that' platform?! 😄

Wow, a seriously impressive presentation from @simonhamp.me at #laraconEU. A mobile app built with php and Laravel. Blown away by it. Take a bow Simon, absolutely incredible work 👏👏👏

Been working on a project with Laravel and Vue recently. Haven't worked with Vue for 6 months or so but coming back to it feels amazing 😊 Obviously different from building React frontends but I feel like it's giving me techie hugs 🤗

Went for a run early this morning. Nothing new there except this time my left calf muscle decided to go on me 😕 The perils of keeping fit 🙄 #running

I'm having more clients ask for projects built with specific technologies which never used to be a thing. As long as it worked, solved their problem and was stable, nobody really cared what it was built with. (For info, most requests are for React and React Native)

To all open source contributors, do you have a magic formula or even any tips on how to make worthwhile contributions while still doing a full time job? I want to start contributing this year but want to make sure I do it properly.

If you're a software developer and you see something that you'd really like to learn and use, are you then put off that it's not used much in the real world? If so, does that mean you're happy sticking to the usual 'tried and tested'? What would be your risk vs reward ratio in using something new?

Judging by the incredible gifts I've received, I guess people feel I need to switch off and relax a bit. Either that or they know I LOVE LEGO AND STAR WARS!!

An absolutely crazy amount shipped by the Uno Platform team this year. Hot Design grabs the headlines but seriously, there are so many amazing things in this post. Take a bow Uno Platform team, you deserve all the applause for productivity this good 👏👏👏

Fell asleep last night on my back, with my arm above my head. A few hours later, not knowing where my arm was, my thoughts were: "why don't I know where my arm is" "where the fuck is it??!" (then after finding it) "who's fucking hand is THAT?!!" Then that pain when it comes back to life

Love this

New social media platform, new website, slightly new style but most importantly… NEW DATE AND LOCATION! We’re branching out! Next .NET MAUI Day: March 14, 2025 in London!

I get asked the same stuff a lot: Them: "So you do Dotnet AND Laravel? C# AND php?" Me: "Yes, yes I do. I have clients with different requirements and don't forget all the JavaScript frameworks fun" Them: "Do you wish you could stick to just one of those?" Me: "Yes. Yes I do...(sigh)" 🙂

New NuGet milestone unlocked!🚀💪 It must be the Hot Design effect! 🔥

I just found a cool feature in Visual Studio. I can grab a project and drag it to the other project to add a reference to that project. I had no idea. I thought it would be a nice experience if this worked... and it was 😍

Who else is going to @ndcconferences.com London in January? If you see me walking about looking lost, say hello! 👋

I've just found a perfectly working Playstation 3 in the loft that I forgot I had! Aside from playing the odd game on it, has anyone got any exciting ideas on how I can utilise it?

🚀 Ionic Framework 8.4 is here! This release brings several new features and improvements, including two new components that enable swipeable Segment content. 👉 Read more: ionic.io/blog/announc...

Today I learned about 'git switch'. I didn't know it had been added! #git

Seriously, this is brilliant. @unoplatform.bsky.social have caused mouths to be wide open with heads half blown off 🤯 #dotNETConf
