This testing is required by the State and done ahead of every election to ensure equipment is working properly. And it’s open to the public. Hear from Clerk Mary Clark about how a voter can vote a split ticket in the Nov. 3 General Election.

Here's how you can still vote: ⭐ Return your ballot to your assigned drop box in your city or township or by visiting your local clerk’s office ⭐ Vote early during the statewide period Oct. 24 - Nov. 1 ⭐ Show up on Election Day at your polling place anytime from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. mi.gov/vote

BRANCH ALERT: The Secretary of State office in Temperance has closed until at least 3 p.m. as a cautionary measure regarding the nearby chemical release in Toledo. Residents and staff are being redirected to the Monroe office.

Today is the last day to register online or by mail to vote in the Nov. 3 General Election. Citizens can still register in person at their city or township clerk’s office with proof of residency, even on Election Day. Register to vote, find your early voting site, and learn more at mi.gov/vote

Over the weekend, MDOS team members tabled at the Harvest Fest in Detroit, providing attendees with election resources, answering any questions on voting they had, and helping them register to vote if eligible or check their voter registration status.

Kids also had the opportunity to cast a mock ballot and vote on what they think is the best season in Michigan. The winning season was summer with 188 votes out of 580, followed by winter with 170, fall with 144, and spring with 78.

Our SOS Mobile Office and staff will be bringing our services on site to St. Joseph’s Helpers in Detroit on Oct. 9. Attendees are encouraged to bring proper documents for the transaction they would like to complete. To learn more about the Mobile Office and what it offers, visit: mi.gov/sosmobile
