Last week, in the Mainstreaming Biodiversity course led by @cabes.bsky.social, we learned and discussed about the BizBiodiversity report, sharing many insightful views and inputs. As a passionate conservationist and researcher, I couldn’t have come across this report at a better time.

Great letter! Handling wildlife for the perfect shot is unethical “Some travel to the Amazon to photograph anacondas, boasting on social media about their struggle until it is immobilized, clearly violating national laws that prohibits the disturbance and capture of wildlife without authorization”

The impacts of climate change on mental health is an important issue to tackle, especially in vulnerable regions, such as in the global south, where young people, scientists, indigenous communities, and those living in these regions experience high ecogrief. Nice commentary!

Global conventions have mainly overlooked the psychological and social impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. Here’s how to change that go.nature.com/4fPpbCz

Such a tremendous read. As soon as I saw the paper published, I thought I had to include this research in my references. I’m currently writing my thesis, and this interesting paper arrived just in time 😊

Well said in a beautiful paper: "microbes are embedded within & frequently mediate the interactions generating ecological networks. For instance, through holobiont relationships, microorganisms span across multiple species, & connect biological systems." onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....

Glad to see my first PhD chapter published in @commsbio.nature.com It explores how the inner egg microbiome interacts with fungal infections during incubation and influences hatching success. Many thanks to all the collaborators, especially Dr Mark Gillingham, for shaping this research together 🐢🥚🦠

Reverend Jesse Jackson called on each of us to be heralds of change, to be messengers of hope; to step forward and say “Send me” wherever we have a chance to make an impact. How fortunate we were that Jesse Jackson answered that call. What a great debt we owe to him.
