tapas closing will affect me personally and but my biggest annoyance is the consolidation of web/toons being the only viable comic hosting site for reaching a larger audience now

neither is a substantial amount (for me, at least!) but it still sucks to see the one that I actually make /something/ from go! It's also where my audience is most active! I have approx the same follower count on each but tapas is about 5x times more active w views, likes, and comments. 🤷

anyway assuming it does close, please take the time to find the comics you're reading elsewhere!! we artists are tIRED of the constant platform jumping we get it but we rely on y'all ❤️

like web/toons is by FAR the most strict about censorship compared to any other site I post on, and it is often wildly subjective and random.

my experience being in each of their creative programs is also that tapas just pays better and is more transparent about it. toons is a mysterious amount of ad revenue they do not tell you the % you're getting. tapas tells you exactly how much your comic makes and the % split (for the ink payments).
