I am attempting to archive the lost YouTube videos from the defunct Living Computer Museum. Their channel was deleted when the museum closed some years back, and I recently remembered about it. I am in desperate need of links to their videos to put into web.archive.org. youtube.com/@unofficiall...

I occasionally wonder if the BBC could use the funding model of PBS in America, which is funded by viewer donations, grants from organisations, corporate sponsors*, and until a couple of years ago, government money through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. *(no editorial control)

I feel like I should clarify that the main issue I take with the BBC is not the licence fee, but rather the problems with the organisation itself. If the many serious problems that the BBC has as an organisation were fixed, I would be much more comfortable paying the fee.

I've been up since 2:30 AM, and in the 5 hours since then, I have accomplished NOTHING. Why? Because I've spent the whole time staring at a blank screen, trying to think of something to do, because I couldn't sleep. I'm so annoyed with myself. Why can't I like, be productive or something. smh

Since LibreOffice somehow doesn't have a "don't capitalise / fiddle with this particular text box" option I had to write it in a different program and then paste it in for it to keep it lowercase. There is an option to disable auto capitalisation globally but I didn't want to do that.

Today, (Aug 15 2026) I hereby declare, is international "draw a face on something that usually doesn't have a face, for no other reason than it brings you joy, day." I'll go first: (Sorry, I don't remember where I got the original image, or who took it - it I figure that out, I will credit them.)

It feels a bit wrong to call this an "it" after I've drawn a face on it. I am open to suggestions for a better pronoun/gender, also maybe "it" could do with a name? Tagging @airbus.com even though I am pretty sure the account isn't monitored, just in case they get a kick out of this.

I join you from the Blaenavon wildfire in Southeast Wales, brought to you by BP, Shell and Equinor. Though it does not look dramatic, the fire has been out of control for days - for a very particular reason. 🧵

This video has been in my recommended on YouTube for the past 5 days, and the title has been like this the whole time. All the other uploads recently have proper titles, so I presume someone messed up when uploading this one and no-one has noticed yet.

More drawings from me, this time using pencil and paper rather than a computer mouse. Hence all the half erased mistakes / second thoughts. (Why is it that erasers never get rid of all the pencil markings? Is that just a me problem?) Also kind of a work in progress.

I've had a go at drawing the Space Shuttle Atlantis. Please understand that I have the drawing skills of a drunk moth, so go easy on me. Also because I'm me, I couldn't resist making a variation with eyes and a mouth. Then I thought "why stop there" and made a third variation, with dialog.

I really wish the human race as a whole would take all the money that we use to fight each other, and instead use it for something that would give all 8 billion of us a better life, in a better world. Think of how many diseases we could cure, or how much science we could fund, etc.

I've always considered YouTube to be a video streaming site with some social media features, rather than the other way round. What do you all think? (Yes, this is in response to the UK blocking YT access for under 16s, listing it as social media.) *Block doesn't affect me, but sad for todays youth

Just bought a new PC, going to put Linux Mint on it when it arrives, because Windows 11 is beyond terrible. Current Main PC runs Windows 10, and I've been in the Windows ecosystem my whole life. We'll see how this goes... To quote Top Gear, "How hard can it be?"
