Dad. Sun Devil. DMB and Hamilton fan. Very imperfect human. I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. I do not think they will sing to me.

Officially "oh right, this is why I live here" season ❤️

Meg Rowley@megrowler.fangraphs.com

We're officially in the weather amnesia part of the calendar in Arizona where I, a person who spent the summer having one long, low-grade panic attack about the future of water in this state, wonder how we could possible consider living anywhere else.

"Election integrity" has always been a joke. As bad as it is that millions of people buy into their project, they know that they can't win with hate alone. Ultimately they will just argue for cancelling elections and holding power by force.

Lot os schadenfreude on my TL about the Suns disastrous opening half, but I'm just bummed. I've been rooting for this franchise long before the current administration and I'll be here after they've moved on. I'm deeply disappointed in the path they've chosen but I still don't want... *this*

Mat Ishbia and Miles Bridges don't get to take Alvin Adams and Dennis Johnson and Larry Nance and Dan Majerle and Charles Barkley and Tom Chambers and Shawn Marion and Steve Nash and above all Al McCoy away from me. Sorry, can't do it. 🫤

Races at the top of the ballot get more of the attention, but clearly there are things to pay attention to in every single elected position. (And if you're voting for a Republican anywhere on the ticket, corruption is what you get all the way down.) www.kjzz.org/elections/20...

kjzz.orgReports on GOP PAC add to questions about Arizona Corporation Commission's utility oversightDual reports from the Energy & Policy Institute allege Commissioner Kevin Thompson helped recruit state regulators to roundtable meetings with utilities. In return, companies donated to the GOP PAC.

I really, really, REALLY need to shut my brain off. I feel like there must be smoke coming out of my ears cause the wheels are spinning so fast in there!

This is pretty damning of ESPN, but it's sadly of a piece with the direction they've been going for awhile.

"For so many years, there was a really strict line in the sand when it came to sports betting. Then the tide slowly began turning internally. It was very troubling for me to see the normalization of betting and ESPN’s complete acceptance of that, and finally, they just decided to go all in."

What a wonderful thing it is to be a person that both desperately craves external validation but will also immediately tell anyone who might want to get close why they are wrong and provide a comprehensive list of reasons why they should leave immediately

God I'm just going to be on the edge of crashing out for the foreseeable future this is why just staying in bed with the lights off and the curtains drawn is mostly preferable to certain aspects of adult life

I am still trying to contemplate whether I was the victim of a very elaborate prank last night. Truly having something of an out of body experience.
