My weekend project was finishing up the firmware of my model railroad controller. It’s now possible to control all switches connected switches and one train via WiFi using a website

The website to control it is HTML only, with a bunch of links for all the functions. And because I already had a webserver and the internal state I exposed them as Prometheus metrics and made a Grafana dashboard.

I like the end result, but I also think bolting all the segments together and pushing around the nuts in the rails on top is annoying. It’s not something I want to inflict on somebody else.

I got a whole set of Japanese container cars, which were pretty cheap because it came without the containers. I designed, 3d printed, and painted a whole bunch of them to fix that

I’ve made another PCB to control my model trains. I got a bunch of switches that can be controlled electronically, and I wanted something that could do that via WiFi

Madelief While she has her home in one of the houses close by, this cat really likes to hang out on the tiny grass field behind the station. And it's always nice to see her when I pass by.

Had a look at all the European freight cars I have so I can organize them. But first I color sorted them and put a Japanese locomotive in front of it
