Hey Ontario! Municipal elections are today, and polls are closing in just a few hours! It's time to get out and vote for the future you way to be a part of. Most polls are open until 8:00, but check your municipality's website for local information.

It's time to take our power back! Doug Ford is allowing US tech billionaires to take our water, raise our bills and pollute our air. Join us in calling for a provincial moratorium on AI Data Centres in Ontario now.

This government’s corruption is so blatant. The very same day Ford removed Greenbelt protections, his staff and developers who stood to profit were celebrating in a private box at a Leafs game. Ontario deserves so much better. Greens will keep fighting to put people over profits.

In Ontario, everyday people are feeling left behind. Meanwhile, every hour, billionaires pocket more wealth than the average worker earns in an entire year. Doug Ford's hasn't done anything about it, because those are the same people who fund his campaigns.

Heartbreaking news out of CFB Wainwright. My heart goes out to those affected, as well as the family members, friends and loved ones grieving from this tragedy. Grateful for the first responders and CAF personnel who are on the ground providing help. We’re with you.

Tuesday will be a sad day for Ontario. Ford's government is taking us backwards, spending millions taking away bike lanes in Toronto when people across Ontario desperately need money for hospitals, housing, schools and infrastructure.

Toronto Star@thestar.com

The Ford government is set to remove Etobicoke bike lanes next week. The government confirmed to the Star that work will begin Oct. 13 to remove bike lanes on a stretch of Bloor Street that has been at the heart of the city’s bike lane battle.

Traffic in Toronto sucks, but instead of providing real solutions like public transit, Ford is performatively removing bike lanes as an expensive culture war stunt. This serves only to make gridlock worse and commuting more dangerous for both cyclists and drivers.

Once all the bike lanes are gone, and congestion hasn't improved, we will look back on this as a foolish act of self-sabotage by a government more interested in its own personal vendettas than in making Ontarians' lives better and more affordable.

According to a sworn statement to the OPP, Doug Ford was using taxpayer funding as leverage to get media coverage. Taxpayer money isn't Ford's personal bank account. He needs to answer to these serious allegations.

Today is a difficult day for so many in Ontario and beyond. It’s been three years since the Hamas terror attacks that claimed 1,200 Israeli lives, and the start of the war in Gaza which has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians.

Nobody should face fear or violence simply for practicing their faith in public. Ontario Greens remain committed to confronting anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and hate in all its forms—today and every day.

I join those who are praying for peace in Palestine and Israel, an end to the siege in Gaza, and a world in which every single person can live in freedom, peace, self-determination and dignity.

Today is a difficult day for so many in Ontario and beyond. It’s been three years since the Hamas terror attacks that claimed 1,200 Israeli lives, and the start of the war in Gaza which has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians.

Over the past few years we’ve witnessed a troubling rise in anti-Semitism in our communities and across Canada. We’ve also seen a rise in Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism. We cannot allow this to become normalized.

Young people are already struggling to get by in an economy stacked against them. Doug Ford needs to reverse these OSAP cuts, take accountability for his own mismanagement, and hold the bad actors responsible instead of punishing all students.

It's Ontario Agriculture Week! Ontario farmers grow 200+ crops supporting an agrifood sector that employs 1 in 9 Ontarians, but Ontario is losing 319 acres of farmland every day. Ontario Greens are calling for a Foodbelt to protect it. Tell your MPP to support the Foodbelt: gpo.ca/foodbelt

Ford got caught handing out millions to well-connected insiders and Conservative donors. Now he's adding paperwork to make it look better. But the hidden truth is that the minister's office still picks the winners. Until that changes, expect more of the same.

thestar.comFord government says it’s tightened rules for next round of skills development fundingA year after the auditor general excoriated Premier Doug Ford's Skills Development Fund, his government says the program increasingly targets "high paid" manufacturing and construction jobs.

The Ford government is closing WSIB offices making it harder for injured workers to access services and supports they deserve. Instead of cutbacks that force thousands of injured workers into poverty, the province should fix the system.

Injured workers in Ontario deserve public services that understand them and support them. We have the money to do it and the Ontario Greens will keep fighting to put people before profits.

Doug Ford is all words, no action. He promised $5 billion to protect Ontario businesses from Trump's tariffs. Two years in, he's given $100m to one steel company and only spent $40M across all other businesses.

globalnews.caFord government ‘Protect Ontario’ tariff program spent $140 million so far | Globalnews.caOn Tuesday, during committee at Queen's Park, Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy was grilled by opposition MPPs on how much of that cash has actually been deployed.

Put another way, Ford wants to spend more on removing bike lanes in Toronto ($48M) than he's spent protecting all of Ontario's businesses from an international trade war. Ontario deserves serious leadership, that follows through on promises, and actually puts people before profits.

Today, we remember the parents, children, siblings and elders tragically lost to the horrendous acts of cultural genocide committed in government-sanctioned residential schools. May we all walk the path to reconciliation together with a commitment to respect and healing.

The Ontario Greens stand in solidarity with steelworkers. We need our governments working together to protect them in the face of tough times, including by providing funding for workers affected by the tariff war.

Chag Sukkot Sameach! To Jewish communities across Ontario and around the world gathering in the sukkah this week, representing joy, connection, and gratitude with loved ones. These values make our communities stronger, and I wish everyone a joyful and meaningful holiday.

From farmers to teachers to small businesses, everyone's trying to get by with less. Meanwhile this government does favours for their biggest donors, paid for by us. We deserve a government that works for the many, not the money.

One of my favourite events of the year! IPM is a celebration of the farmers that are crucial to our food sovereignty. It's also a reminder that we need to do more. That's why we'll keep pushing for the Foodbelt, to permanently protect farmland in Ontario. Find out more: gpo.ca/foodbelt

25 years ago today, when American skies closed, Canada opened its doors. Ontario airports in Toronto and Hamilton took in diverted flights as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon, part of a national effort that saw 200+ planes and tens of thousands of stranded passengers welcomed with open arms.

It is a reminder of how sovereign nations can support each other and work together for mutual benefit. Today, we remember the lives lost on 9/11, and the compassion so many Canadians showed in the days after.

Happy Labour Day to every worker who keeps Ontario running with love and duct tape. Spent the day with folks at the Labour Day picnic in Guelph, to show support for the people who build and care for this province.
