Yay! It looks like #Apple fixed some bugs I reported in #macOS 27 in the new 27.2 update. There are still several they have not fixed ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. I'm most happy that three-finger drag and drop in a list is working again (that one was especially annoying to me).

Yeah, this is odd. Even my somewhat basic #SwiftUI test project isn't looking right in #Xcode 27.1 #iPhone Duo previews (but fine in Device Hub - just with no ability to see my mock data). I hope #Apple can get this fixed (and all the other bugs I've been reporting in #macOS, #iOS, and #iPadOS 27.

OK everyone. Don't stampede all at once. But if you'd like to support my #SwiftUI programming efforts generally rather than just buying one of my #macOS, #iOS, #iPadOS apps or support my #instrumental #music, you can now do so right from the green Support button in my profile here on Bluesky.

While I was updating my SwiftUI code, I also noticed and fixed some minor bugs in iKeeper and Finance. So whenever I release the updates, they will be a little more than just iPhone Duo support.

I *think* I have my apps updated to work on iPhone Duo. There are issues with iPhone Duo preview in Xcode and iPhone Duo in Device Hub has no access to mock data I use to test my UI (and also has bugs). Holding off submitting updates to the App Store to see if Apple fixes things. ๐Ÿค”

Nothing quite like the "joy" of the broken three-finger multi-touch drag & drop in a #macOS 27 list than having to drag something as far as you can, drop it, scroll to see a bit more of the list, start dragging it again, etc. until you finally reach the end point where you want to drag it to. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

So apparently Xcode 27.1 can't provide an accurate iPhone Duo preview. Well that's annoying since that is where all my mock data is that I would like to take screenshots of and test my layout with. ๐Ÿ˜–

I really hope that #Apple has managed to at least fix some of the bugs I've reported in their next #macOS, #iPadOS update. ๐Ÿคž This broken stuff is so annoying.

Just got the confirmation today that my ballot was received and accepted to be counted in November. ๐Ÿ™‚๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Finished up a second song remaster from my 2012 album. And with that, 90% of my songs are now recorded in multi-track using the techniques I came up with in 2023. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽถ

Yes, my original plan when I was starting to work out my new multi-track recording / mixing technique that I would finally be happy with (at least sounding as close as possible to what I heard in my head when coming up with songs) was going to start all the way back in 2012 and work forwardโ€ฆ

โ€ฆ but, that would have meant delaying new songs I had written in 2023 from being done for years and so I decided to start with the new material in 2023 and work back to 2012. But in 2022 I did experiment with 2 of the songs from 2012 before that decisionโ€ฆ

โ€ฆ It was fun going back to salvage some of that work although it probably ended up being a bit more work to do that as I had to fix some stuff. Still I'm very happy with the end result. I likely will do the same for the other song I experimented with and then onward to the remaining 10 after that.

Things have been rather busy. I finally got a song from my 2012 album remastered / remixed / re-recorded as multi-track using the new techniques I came up with in 2023. Interestingly, some parts of this one were from an experiment in 2022 before I had quite figured everything out. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽถ

Feels a bit weird that today I started remastering one of my songs from 2012 and that there are only 12 songs left in the remaster project. ๐Ÿคฏ๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽถ

My 2013 album is done... and with that I'm 88% through the remaster project and only have the 2012 album left to go. ๐Ÿค” Maybe I should just keep going? I mean, I'm not seeing any great sales numbers for my #macOS, #iOS, and #iPadOS apps despite all the time and effort I put into that. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Working on song 11 (of 11) remaster from my 2013 album. It needed a little sax ๐ŸŽท๐Ÿ˜Ž Still some work (and other instrumentation) to go, but that part sounds really good now.

Some of the existing unresolved bugs, and some of the new bugs introduced in #macOS, #iOS, and #iPadOS 27 are really starting toโ€ฆ wellโ€ฆ bug me. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿœ I hope #Apple can fix them soon.

More work on remastering song 10 (of 11) from my 2013 album today. Some electric guitar, bass, drums and a piano harmony track. Still missing something (possibly strings) and needs mixingโ€ฆ but definitely getting there. ๐Ÿ™‚๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽถ

Went through all of my feedback to Apple. Turns out they fixedโ€ฆ oneโ€ฆ off my list of macOS and iPadOS issues with the macOS 27.0.1 release today. OK, it was a really minor one, but ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰ no more weird rollover effect for toolbar icon buttons in Xcode preview or Device Hub for iOS/iPadOS targets.

I still can't decide which song I feel like working on remastering from my 2013 album, so did a bit of work on both of the remaining songs today. Still lots of work to do. At some point I'm going to have to pick one or the other instead of jumping around, but for now it isโ€ฆ something different? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Good news. While I was busy working on updating my website, iKeeper 7, Gradiance 2, and Finance 10.2 for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS were all approved for the App Store. So everything is ready to go on Monday (plus another song remaster release). ๐Ÿ™‚

And my website is ready to go whenever all the apps are approved on the App Store. ๐Ÿ™‚ Nice of Apple to change around how liquid glass looks in macOS, iOS, and iPadOS 27 so I had to replace EVERY screenshot. ๐Ÿซฉ

All the apps submitted. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ Now I just have to get all the screenshots I took for my website formatted and ready to go while waiting. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

All needed macOS, iOS, and iPadOS screenshots done of the app upgrade and app update. The ones for the App Store are formatted and ready. Going to work on the App Store submissions next. Then I'll worry about the formatting of the others for my website. ๐Ÿ™‚

OKโ€ฆ back to taking screenshots of my app upgrade and app update with "Preview as app" from #Xcode 27.0 for my website and App Store. I just noticed the Editor > Canvas > Use Legacy Previews Execution option and it doesn't instantly hang with a spinning color wheel ๐Ÿ™‚ Lots of pictures to take ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

๐Ÿค” I couldn't decide which song I felt like working on remastering next from my 2013 album, so I actually started working on both of the remaining songs today. We'll see where the mood takes me tomorrow as I do more (assuming that Apple doesn't fix the "Preview as app" hang issue in Xcode 27.0)

Tomorrow maybe I'll get some work done on the instrumental music remaster project unless someone knows a way to get "Preview as app" working in #Xcode 27.0 without hanging so I can capture some needed #macOS screenshots for my apps to get things wrapped up and submitted to Apple.

Well, the one app that doesn't hang "Preview as app" from Xcode 27 has all the screenshots done for my website and the App Store. I also have all the info set up in App Store Connect so that is just waiting for the build and submission. The problem is the other two apps holding everything up. ๐Ÿ™

Greatโ€ฆ I need to take many macOS screenshots from "Preview as app" from Xcode (as I've done many times before) andโ€ฆ Xcode 27.0 decides it is the perfect time to hang the previewed app so it is completely non-responsive with a spinning color wheel (yet the preview in canvas runs fine). ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

It might have something to do with CoreData (or not). At least when trying to "Preview as app" in Xcode 27.0 all of my projects using CoreData are hanging while my one app without isn't. So frustrating. Worked prior to Xcode 27.0 with no problems and I have macOS screenshots to take. ๐Ÿ˜–
