Gonna need both an Arteta rocket *and* a couple of subs I think. A couple of inexperienced wingers and 2 CBs who aren't exactly ballplayers isnt making this much fun. Odegaard for Gyokeres, and play Havertz upfront.

Me before the team was announced: which one of Havertz and Gyokeres wont even be in the squad and be rested? Arteta: hahahahaha, you are a fool!

Half time, Villa being 1-0 up against ManC, with Haaland hardly getting a touch or a mention. Second half, you just know he's going to score 2 to win the game, and 10 minutes in, he's already got one.

Really nice to see Arsenal involved in a good quality fun enjoyable game of football. Now we just need to persuade other teams to play lile Bayern.

Or maybe we won't sort it out. This'll be a nervy 2nd half.

Even after losing Saka, we looked pretty good going forward and controlling at the back But they found a way to cut through for the goal and then a couple of times more, and it got less fun. Half time should allow Arteta to sort that out.

I always worried about the Michael Carrick contract. I always thought it was going to hurt them. Two years was clearly not enough, they needed to make it five.

I think the question about the January transfer window, isn't 'should we sign an attacker', its 'how many attackers should we sign?'

Public statement of today's unsuccessful dog walk: "Good morning, my definition of a successful dog walk is one where the number of poos exiting the dog exceeds the number of poos entering the dog. I will not be taking questions at this time. Thank you"

After an hour I was thinking that maybe Rice was still carrying an injury, and maybe we shouldn't have started him, and then he just ups his game and makes me look an idiot 😅

Wow! Excellent goal. Didn't see that comeback coming, I have to admit. Look at the space we created for Bruno. We struggled to get anything like that for the first hour.

It's a good goal by Arsenal, thank god, but Leeds were just a little off on their defending. Maybe that workrate is taking an effect now.

I'd hoped Arsenal winning the league would have relaxed us a bit, especially going forwards, but against Brighton and so far today we're just a mess.

On today's dog walk, both me and my partner agreed that we really liked the look of the new Jaguar. Looks better in the video than in the still shots, and I suspect it'll look even better on the road. (Obviously it'd be no good for transporting the dog.)

Man City might just have had an off ramp. Once the guilty verdict came out, Mansour should've claimed ignorance, sacked everyone involved, & apologised. Would still get punished badly, but you take the hit and move on. Now, with the doubling down & the threats, EVERYONE will hate them for ages.

If I were the organisation that is the Premier League or the organisation that is SKY, I'd be wanting the owners of Man City to sell the club at this point. Both these organisations are selling a product and that product is now tainted. Its become less than it was, and therefore less valuable 1/n

they did have the 'excuse' that it was the previous owner, rather than the current ones, so there is an element of insulation there. The PL can say the infection has been cut out and we move on. Not so with Man City. If they continue to be unrepentant, how do the authorities move on? 3/n

Even if they somehow recover from their punishment, the club will still be tainted by the ownership and the staff that were involved in the deception. And by association, that taints the PL and SKY too. End.

and while the owners of Man City continue to protest that they're completely innocent after spending years deliberately obstructing the investigation, that issue is never going away. We can moan about Chelsea's recent punishment not being strong enough, but they did at least co-operate and 2/n

Given the severity of the PL decision, you have to believe that Man City were advised by their lawyers some time ago that this was coming. Could explain the ages of the current squad.

Putting the potential punishments to one side for a second, Man City have got lots to worry about. Every single game will have an insane atmosphere. SKY sports wont want to show any more of their games than they have to. Their fan base is relatively small, and it's going to get smaller. Etc.etc.

People are arguing whether Breaking Bad is better than The Wire, when, on the same list Lost is ahead of Chernobyl, Deadwood, Stranger Things, and Watchmen

"Have you heard the news? Man City have been found guilty of 114 charges!" "Wow, finally, we've waited years for that, what's the punishment?" "They haven't decided yet" "Right, but surely that cant take long" "Well, ManC have the right to appeal, so..." "Really, appeal?" "Yep" "..."

If only there was something the President of the world's biggest superpower could do, in return for Ukraine stopping its attacks on certain Russian infrastructure...

One of two things will happen in the 2nd half. Either: Gyokeres will come on and be a bit rubbish and ineffective and the chance of us getting anything out of him in the future will drop. Gyokeres won't come on and the chance of us getting anything out of him in the future will drop.

A little from column A and a little from column B. Probably wondering what happened to the 'no living beyond 40(*), that's for old people, suicide pact' (*) currently adjusted to 80, with potential for future adjustments.

I worry about Gyokeres. That was a poor Ipswich side and he looked disinterested and uninvolved. Maybe there was some truth in him being a makeweight for Alvarez and he's sulking a little.

So torn about the Manchester Derby. A win for utd is better for us, but seeing 10 man City beating ManU after the Fernandes debacle and him being sad is funny.

Everyone's assuming that Redwood's on the side of the Saxons here, but its 1000 yrs ago, he's definitely got Norman blood in him, so maybe he's *celebrating* the victory

Just watching the 2nd half of Liverpool vs Forest, and already there's been enough counter attacks from Forest that I'm feeling sympathy for Van Dijk for the rest of the season. 35 is too old to be sprinting back all the time.

One thing I've just realised about Arsenal potentially signing Alvarez from Atletico Madrid, is that it was Berta who negotiated the deal to take him there from Man City 2 years ago. He must have some good insights into the player's mentality etc.
