I just wrote a whole song in 1 sitting, it's called "Chickens Raise The Sun", about how roosters magically call the sun up into the sky. It's sort of a twangy country song. LOL

This is our local rooster, we've named him Butter. He loves bananas, tomatoes, and pecans. I want to build him and his lady friend Curry a glorious mansion. We think Curry is nesting somewhere nearby, so we might see some Butter Curry babies soon.

His neck is more buttery-colored in person than the photo, which is how he got his name, first thing that came to mind, and all the wild chickens are named after food. xD He's pretty low-key, some of the roosters are super-fabulous. Butter is a working fellow.

Removed the airbox, battery, battery tray, ECU, and so many other things to get to those bits. Now can remove the wheels, axles, maybe shocks, then the transmission? Should get more interesting; uncharted waters from here on out. Hopefully no dragons. Corolla Hatchback Clutch Slave Cylinder...

My wife couldn't believe you could get instant potatoes o'gratin in a box. Yup, American innovation in shitty food. It may not be great, but it's calories with minimal mental effort.

Today, I put it off, started, gave up entirely, and started again, to fix the clutch slave cylinder on the Corolla. Gonna be a ton of work, and my jelly arms are not ready. I can always call for a tow, but have very little to lose by trying. It's a $2000 job at the stealership.

This is a weekly graph of blacklisted IP addresses. The linear lines upward are BAD. I wrote a script to collect all these bans into a permanent file, and running it periodically has kept the new live ban counts in check. 90% of these are AI scrapers in the US. Microslop, ChatGPT, etc. Shame!

It takes time and energy to combat these scam artists, hoovering up all content online in an attempt to become profitable, while their Lazy Lie Machines encourage our children to slit their wrists. Every intrusion committed by an AI bot should lead to prosecution and imprisonment of the tech CEOs.

We need to bring personal responsibility back into the tech industry. AI bots are a product of their creators, of the companies that operate the hardware that runs them. The human and electricity costs they inflict on everyone else should be billable, with jail time for stolen content and hacks.

The bans used to be mostly Russia and China, now the majority are these unprofitable US AI companies trying to build nuclear reactors to feed their insatiable need for energy. The consumption of these assholes doesn't stop at the data center walls - they're costing every website operator.

I sang "What About Us" at the market the other day (the song by Pink), and started crying afterward, when I said "The kids are going to be alright". Fuck this timeline, but trust in the children. When they start running things, shit will get better. When you're at the bottom, the only way is up.

Learned today that some Apple apps misidentify themselves as "facebookexternalhit Facebot Twitterbot". They're literally impersonating other web scraper bots. iMessage is one for sure, maybe also Safari itself. A client got permanently banned because of this nonsense. "Think Different", indeed.

Well, looks like I've entered my unpaid part time musician phase of life. I've got 2 "bands", a regular solo gig for tips, another regular gig for charity, and now an "anti-corporate" market gig, also for tips. Maybe I can turn this into a PAID live musician before AI steals my desk job from me.

Adderall is a fuckin' miracle. Been off any ADHD meds for a year. This week, I'm back on the lowest dose. Staying on task, and especially task SWITCHING is now _EFFORTLESS_. That stuff seemed impossible a week ago. Life-changing.

Hell yes. As a child of a great and talented mother, a younger brother to a brilliant woman, and the lesser half to my incredible, unstoppable wife, I agree 100%. Feminism is the moral default. If you don't consider yourself a feminist, you're the bad guys, and frankly don't deserve to breed.

Anybody have weird non-words they say to cats when they're being cute? My go-to sounds sort of like "dya-booh!" I sometimes wonder if it's a swear word in another language. :P

If AI data centers should be allowed to exist at all, we should require they provide 100% of their own electricity, on 100% their own property, and 100% from solar or wind, with 0 gallons of water used. Completely self-sufficient, or it can all 🎲.

Just got my first draft of my first ever song arrangement for looper pedal, ‘ukulele and bass. Very rough, but it's the start of something brand new. Could I have solo open mic performances in my future? Maybe!

I'll have to rewrite this sheet specific to the looper. One thing I hate is people spending 20+ seconds recording the loop before they start singing, so I'm trying to optimize that.

Just played 3 songs with the band I'm in at an open mic night! Turns out the entire bar was musicians, there to jam together the whole night! But... no pressure. O_o Had to stay late and chat with some of them, and I made a contact to play again with them!! Now, time to study!!!

All buttoned up! Reverse camera comes on when reversing, front camera comes on when you flip the little silver switch up. Glad to be done with this project! (for now). I'll be hooking up the speakers and a microphone as well, for radio, bluetooth, and hands-free calls. In a 37 year old truck. xD

I'm sure no one cares, but I replaced the crusty old battery terminals with new, in prep for the stereo/backup camera install. Never seen such shiny terminals on a 37 year old vehicle. xD
