Okay last episode thoughts #BleachSpoilers :

So, keeping in mind this is a shonen series, with good music and nice animation: Emotional score for Cour 4: 8/10 More subjective score: 6.5/10 Final opinion: needed two more episodes, some pacing fixes, and more Shinji :P

Also, because I’m anxious and overthink people misunderstanding me. I firmly believe 5/10 means something is still good and watchable! 9 and 10 should be rare and special!

Okay last episode thoughts #BleachSpoilers :

This cour had Kisuke’s Bankai, Orihime glazing, Ichigo being depressed, Uryu does more, big team up fight, Grimmjow, and the cute epilogue! But it also had: neverending Yhwach and Gerard, too much Hitsugaya, disappearing Vizoreds, how did they get there disease, Multiple characters voiding out

We never got Soul King resolution of Yhwach’s backstory…

When I review something, for realsies, which is not what this thread originally was. I give two scores. My emotional score and my more subjective score. I started they because DA Veilguard meant a ton to me, but it has issues. This is a similar case. I love Bleach, I’m attached obviously.

So I have to ask how do I feel, vs how good was something based on its parts? It’s rough, because TYBW was never my favorite arc, but the animation was so pretty, the quality improved a ton. I like a lot of fights a ton, but Yhwach is far from my favorite villain.

Okay last episode thoughts #BleachSpoilers :

We needed that 'death' to stick longer. We needed time we didn't have, and it wasn't going to happen. So it felt a touch cheap, and that made the last episode not as good. Taking it from a 10 to a 9 for me.

enji - Commissions CLOSED til Nov

By ‘last’ here I mean episode 45 btw. 45 was really good but the later episodes not continuing it correctly made it… feel weird. Like… hmmm… I love blood chains Ichigo. But without good explanation, it makes regular Bankai feel weird. I struggle to explain my feelings here.

Okay last episode thoughts #BleachSpoilers :

The animation was pretty good overall, a few lower points, but never bad. Voice actors killed it as usual, music was great. The action was fun! I love the weird team-ups we got. Shinji got more lines! I super wonder where he was for 45-49, but I get leaving the Vizords be.

I am left to fanfic town now, full of ideas and scenes I want to add. I love what Kubo created, and I'm excited to play with it! Now I can feel free to answer questions I have that I know I won't get answers to. Also I get to redesign Shinji's epilogue look. I'm giving that man long hair again.

Okay last episode thoughts #BleachSpoilers :

You could feel them jamming in stuff while trying to keep everything on track. It led to a lot of really cool moments I enjoy in a vacuum, but feel off in the context of the whole. Like we'd get one episode of new, then back on track, then new, then back. It was a weird yoyo and it felt disjointed.

I tried very hard to always go in with low expectations to enjoy, and as such, I had fun. Like, I wasn't mad about Aizen because I didn't expect more. Did I have ideas of things I would do with him? Yes. But honestly he's not a big sticking point for me.

Without that, anime-onlys are left not knowing why Ichigo isn't stuck in a rock forever. It would've been a nice way to tie things up imo. I am left feeling like losing those two episodes for this season really messed us up. With just a little more breathing room, I feel it could've been better....

Anyway. I did like it, I'm glad we got it. This season was gorgeous and the bonus material we did get was fun, even if at times it was a little jarring to the overall pacing. For example, 45 was beautiful, gorgeous, amazing... but because of the need to get back on the main plot, it felt... weird

What we got was sweet. A pretty much 1:1 adaptation of the epilogue chapters with a few new images. Kira! Yay! But... I really really hoped we'd get the explanation of the Soul-king-ining thing. I know CFYOW explains it, but I would've loved to see it.

All ready to watch! Thanks for everything Kubo, TYBW crew, and all the Bleach friends I’ve made. It’s been great watching and I’m grateful for how my passion for creating was reinvigorated over these past few years. I hope there’s more to come, but even if not, I’ll keep going!

A few zoom ins on some details. I softened the image a lot, but I added embers to the edge of the Hollow sleeves. Both Takara's used the same sketch base, but then the lineart was done separately to make H!Takara more spiky and sharp, and Takara a little softer, with her hair curling a little.
