with the possible added bonus of clueing customers in to what side of the microphone you should talk into for it to sound good and not like ass

there is actually a huge difference between talking in front of a microphone and making a podcast. and I gotta say, sooooo many “podcasters” could stand to learn this

welp. gave Metaphor Re:Fantazio the old college try - absolutely beautiful game, but the combat is just kinda fine, and the first 10 hours with the story & characters didn’t wow me. Gonna be a DNF unfortunately.

What a treat of an episode! And thanks again to @mischaetc.bsky.social for joining us for this one 💜

Trails through Trails@trailspod.bsky.social

✨NEW EPISODE✨ Just remember: it ain’t over til it’s OVA. We invited @mischaetc.bsky.social from the @simpleandcleanpod.bsky.social to watch the Trails in the Sky OVA with us, and try to figure out what in Gehenna these games are all about! LISTEN: trailspod.online/episodes/bon...

y’know I guess I really just have no interest in making things people want... I want people to want what I make. and the real trouble is that a monetary incentive to the contrary is just not enough to change how I feel about that? like I wish it was. if it was my life would be a lot easier.

I watched the PWBL over the weekend some good baseball, some pretty mid baseball, but cannot deny the athleticism gathered on those teams however the broadcast production was REALLY amateurish and I worry it’s gonna turn people away before the league can get its legs under it

once again down on my knees begging and pleading for people who are still talking about JK Rowling’s books & characters to read ANY other book. please. there’s so many out there. literally any other one will do.

I have been informed that actually, people were specifically talking to me about the recent video game in that series, to which I respond: play ANY other video game

“to be honest dad im more worried about the fire & pollution in the air, ive had a headache for two days” “its a dangerous world out there” thanks dad ♥️

two of my favorite creators & people in the world are finally making a show they’ve been excitedly whispering to me about for years - get involved!!!

We're casting! @laurenshippen.com is casting for @atypicalartists.co new show, Phantom Pulse! This podcast is going to be so goddamn good y'all just trust me. And I'll be directing it! Please consider throwing your hat into the ring. (Deadline is 6th July)

if a great audiobook can convince millions of people that a terrible book is actually pretty good, imagine what you could make out of things that are actually good. plz let me make immersive audiobooks out of my favorite books and nothing else and then pay me for it. thank you.

and then i snap back to the world, i wake up or leave the daydream behind. and the spike is gone, and the phantom pain is gone. but the pressure is there. and most days, i'm honestly not sure which one i'd prefer.

the filament stays behind, like a fishing line cast through my brain. it doesn't snap when i turn my head, merely twists and draws tight. the chrome spike continues through space, onward toward the edge of the universe.

it hurts, but there's also a release of internal pressure, so that feels kinda good too. i think the pressure's been there for a long time. possibly my whole life. and no matter the form the spike takes or the vision... it's nice to finally be rid of that pressure.

sometimes another person is holding the spike, but more often than not it's me holding it. sometimes it's slow and gentle. sometimes it's a forceful thrust. other times i'm holding the spike on a table or a desk, and pound my head forward onto it.

one often-recurring version of the vision has the spike cast in smooth polished chrome, made of some unearthly impossible metal, and drawn through space on an impossibly-thin filament. it drags a line straight through my head, but it's so smooth i barely notice until it's already out the back.

just delivered my first video edit to a client, so I guess you could say I’m a professional video editor now 😤 (let’s hope I did it right)(I am very nervous)

I kind of wish I hadn’t read that book actually. bc now that I have I find myself actively judging people who like it. I wish I could go back to not knowing how bad that book is so I could stop judging my friends for stuff they like :(

5 years after diagnosis seems like a good time to stop coming across new “OH, it’s another goddamned autism thing” moments in my daily life……. alas.

crazy that the “doesn’t understand social cues” disease makes you miss social cues even after you know you’re the kind of person who misses social cues. self-awareness doesn’t just fix the problem? damn.
