SCOOP from me: Trump's AI action plan released last week makes a specific set of recommendations around loosening Clean Water Act permits for data centers — recommendations mirrored in letters sent to the administration by Big Tech lobbyists earlier this year:

Alright everyone. Republicans are going to force a vote on their gender affirming care provision even though it violates Senate rules. They’ll need 60 votes to keep it in. Now is the time to make your voice heard and ask your Senators to stand on the side of health care freedom.

Transgender medicaid ban and definition of sex are back in the federal bill - Dems can raise a point of order and force a vote, and as long as we don't lose 7 dems on this, Dems can keep it out. Definitely worth some phone calls folks. bsky.app/profile/eric...

Teachers don't need more tech. They need smaller classes and more (paid) time for prep and instruction. But alas, the tech option means more profit for billionaires, while the latter would cost billionaires more in taxes. And so, in our current kleptocracy, tech is what teachers are going to get...

Listen to what Uncle George is saying—it HAS happened here, and it CAN happen again.

If you think it can’t happen here, remember that it already did. In 1942 soldiers came with rifles to our home and ordered us out. They put us in internment camps. Most of us were citizens.

Once again, the Roberts Court defers to religiosity over medical science, bodily autonomy and equal treatment. Don’t imagine for a moment that second-class status will be limited to transgender children.😡 Supreme Court allows Tennessee ban on gender-transition care for minors - The Washington Post

I wish I could effectively explain to people the cognitive and emotional distortions that have for decades accompanied my migraines. The misery is such that I pray for the headaches to hit, just so the distortions will go away. I’ve ruined relationships during migraine prodromes; and I hate that.

So, on the 92nd anniversary of the Nazis invading Germanys first sex-change clinic, SCOTUS rules that a blatantly discriminatory and unfounded ban on trans military service can proceed. Coincidence? I had a bit of hope for our country; but SCOTUS appears poised to rubberstamp Drumpfs every wish.😭

And so it begins in The Land of the Free…😡

Lol. They released their 400 page US version of the Cass Review and refused to even name who the authors were. It's a glorified book report. Anyway, this is out now y'all. I'll be looking it over today. opa.hhs.gov/sites/defaul...

It’s a dysphoria evening, courtesy of my inbound migraine. I’m heartened to remember that no matter how ugly and awful I feel, that feeling is a delusion from which all women occasionally suffer. To that end, my sisters, remember that you are all beautiful, and wanted, and loved. ❤️ Good night. 🌙

Yesterday I saw a patient who is experiencing her first potential pregnancy—U/S showed two gestational sacs but no fetal poles at approx age 5wks4d. She has a rare fertility problem. I worry about what will happen to her here (WI) if this represents a failed pregnancy—can she even terminate it?

Last night I dreamed that *someone* had carved an enormous frowny face in the moon, complete with Death Star dishes for eyes—and concluded that a) powerful aliens existed; b) they did not approve of us AT ALL; and c) they had a positively wicked sense of humor…

How embarrassing that The Atlantic would publish this article, which references the Cass Report as a credible review of gender-affirming care, suggests that GAC for minors is misguided, and pretends that conservatives don’t act from anti-trans animus. apple.news/A-cCRXjmERV2...

On my drive home from jury duty, I watched twelve police cars and an ambulance speed eastbound. Yet another senseless tragedy for which politicians will offer ‘thoughts and prayers,’ but no actual solutions. 😡

Yesterday I submitted my name change petition—long-overdue, considering I’ve been fully out since 2020, legally recognized female since 2015, on hormones since 2007. And yet all I can think today is that I continue to fail my wife—my love of 32 years. Which is ridiculous, but that’s dysphoria. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Reposting because it’s something I need to remember to do.

Today SCOTUS hears U.S. v Skrmetti. While I’m normally a Pollyanna, it’s clear to me that SCOTUS will find for Skrmetti; they knew this before they took the case. By finding that TN can deny GAC to youth, they pave the way to deny GAC to all trans people—and then, to deny women bodily autonomy. 😡

Watched ‘Say Anything’ tonight with my little family, and was pleasantly surprised. For an 80s teen movie, it was way better than it had any right to be. And it really captured the angst of the era quite well, I think. Thoughts?

Well, I just got blocked for expressing the hope that people who DIY HRT will help keep each other safe. I still hold that opinion—HRT can be life-saving, but there ARE associated risks. Take care, my trans sisters and brothers.
